March 2012

Miracle BabyTim Tebow was the youngest of 5 children to his parents Bob

and Pam Tebow. His mother was pregnant in the Philippines where a Dr. suggested that she get an abortion because she might have died in child birth. They came to Jacksonville Florida and Tim was born because his mother refused to get an abortion.

Tim had 2 brothers, Peter and Robby, and 2 sisters Christy and Katie.

Early AgesTebow was the son of a minister in a very religious Christian family.

His family also believed in homeschooling, which allowed the Tebows to have a flexible schedule and teach what they wanted tot teach.

The Tebows were also very competitive and enjoyed sports. Tim said that his brothers did not go easy on him in spite of his young age. Tim was a great athlete.

He played at lakeshore athletics, which is a very good sports complex in Jacksonville.

High SchoolTebow was still homeschooled in High School but

played football and baseball at Nease High School. He was the star QB and was heavily recruited by many top schools.

Tebow won the Florida State Championship as a senior.

Recruiting Tebow was recruited by many schools but his top 5 were Florida, Alabama,

LSU, Michigan, and USC. Tebow was almost certain he would either play at Florida or Bama.

He liked Alabama coach Mike Shula as well as Urban Meyer, but ended up choosing Florida because he has been a Gator fan his entire life.

Freshman Season Tebow was the backup and wild cat QB to Chris Leak in a year where UF had

a tremendous defense. Tebow also introduced the famous jump pass against LSU. Florida’s only loss was to the Auburn Tigers. The Gators eventually beat “The” Ohio State University who featured Heisman winning QB Troy Smith for the national championship. Florida killed OSU 41-14 and the Gators shut down Smith, and Tebow had 2 td’s in the game.

Sophomore Season Many player had left from the 06 team including Leak and Tebow became

the starting QB.

Tim was not happy with his teams work ethic in the offseason eh thought his team felt entitled. In year 2 and he carried his team to a 9-4 record losing to Michigan in Capitol One Bowl in Lloyd Carr’s last game as Michigan head coach. Tebow did have one the best seasons of all time. He won the Heisman Trophy over Arkansas running back Darren Mcfadden who finished second 2 years in a row.

Junior Season The promise: (picture)

After that loss to Ole Miss, Tebow and the Gators won the rest of their games including the national championship against Oklahoma who had Heisman winner Sam Bradford as their QB.

Florida won the game 24-14.

Draft Tebow was critisized for not being accurate enough and his release was to

long.

Draft “experts” like Todd Mcshay and Mel Kiper Jr. thought Tebow would be a third or fourth round pick and thought he may not even play Quarter Back.

The Denver Broncos drafted Tim with 25th pick in the 2010 draft.

Rookie Season Tebow started the year the backup to Kyle Orton who is known as a semi

productive game managing QB.

Denver fans wanted Tebow but coach Josh McDaniel's kept him in a backup role until week 15 when Tebow started against the Oakland Raiders and lost. He played well with 1 passing and 1 rushing TD.

Than Tebow’s first home start came against Houston in Denver. Tebow led his team to comeback victory.

Page 12: Tebow

Year 2 In Tim’s second year he started the year behind Orton again, but started starting

much earlier in the year against Miami where he led the Broncos to a comeback OT win. He had many comebacks after that including a playoff OT win over the Steelers in Denver.

He is one of the most covered athletes of all time.

There is even an act called Tebowing.

Page 13: Tebow

Offseason In the offseason the Broncos signed all time great QB Peyton Manning and

seek trades for Tebow.

The possible destinations for Tebow include Jacksonville, the Jets, Green Bay, Miami, New England, and Philadelphia.
