Revit → STL → 3D Printer• Download & install the STL Exporter for Revit
(Autodesk Exchange Apps website)• Create a 3D View to prep you export• Turn on your “scope box” to define the area of
the model you want to print• In visibility graphics turn off any extra categories
that won’t be needed for printing.• From the Add-Ins tab in the Revit ribbon you can
select the STL Exporter for Revit button.• From the Export STL dialogue box the STL
format should be set to Binary.• You can choose to include or exclude linked
models as well a specific categories that you wish to export for printing.
• Hit save to name and export the STL file.• Coordinate with your 3D printing counterparts for
the appropriate model tolerances and other printer specific items that may arise.
