Contour processor

Free contour programming; An integrated contour calculator calculates any missing parameter for you, provided that they can be computed from other parameters. You can chain a maximum of 50 contour elements. Contour transition elements “radius and chamfer” are also provided to help you chain contour elements. The programmed contours are transferred to the edited parts program.

Machining cycles

Stock removal cycle With the „Stock removal“ cycle, a contour programmed in a subroutine can be produced from a blank by means of paraxial stock removal. The contour can include relief-cut elements. The technology (roughing/finishing/complete machining) is selectable. The cycle can be called from any collision-free position.

Grooving cycle The grooving cycle allows symmetrical and asymmetrical recesses to be produced for longitudinal and facing operations on any straight contour elements. Outside and inside recesses can be made. Also the groove cutting method is supported.

Undercut cycle With this cycle, undercuts to DIN509 of forms E and F can be produced with usual loading for a finished part diameter > 3mm.

Thread cutting cycle With the „Thread cutting“ cycle you can machine cylindrical and tapered outside and inside threads with constant lead in longitudinal or face machining. Both single threads and multiple threads can be cut. In multiple thread cutting, the threads are cut one after the other. In-feed is automatic. You can select either constant in-feed per cut or constant cross-section of cut. A right-hand thread is determined be the spindle direction. Feedrate and spindle override both have no effect in thread travel blocks.

Drilling cycle The tool drills at the programmed spindle speed and feedrate to the programmed final drilling depth. Deep hole drilling is performed with a depth in-feed of a maximum definable depth executed several times, increasing gradually until the final drilling depth is reached. The drill can either be retracted to the reference plane+safety distance after every infeed depth for swarf removal or retracted in each case by 1mm for chip breaking.

Rigid tapping The tool drills at a programmed spindle speed and feedrate to the programmed thread depth. With this CYCLE84 you can perform rigid tapping operations. No special holder with an integrated length compensation is needed.

MANUAL GUIDE i is the operation guidance to support an operator on many situations such as creating a part program, checking by machining simulation, set-up and actual machining. These operations can be done on the only one screen. ISO code form is adopted as the part program format, it is widely used on many CNC machine tools, furthermore, machining cycles, which can realize complicated machining motions by simple programming, are provided.
