Technology!
I used an Apple Mac to create my media products. To begin with I found it quite complicated to work with but over time, my understanding of how to use it got
better!
This is the ‘Panasonic LUMIX Digital Camera’ that I used to take all my photos.
I created a blog account using ‘Blogger’ to post all of my research and planning, as well as my final magazine and evaluation. I found this fairly simple to use
and will most probably use it again in the future.
I used ‘Adobe Photoshop’ to create my front cover, contents page and double page spread, as well as edit most of my photos. I discovered as
soon as I started using it that it was very complex and needed some time getting used to! It includes many tools which I used to make my
media products more effective.
As well as ‘Photoshop’, I also used ‘PhotoPlus’ to edit my photos, as this was a program that I’ve used before and felt comfortable using.
After creating an account, I uploaded my photos to ‘Photobucket’ so that I could present them on my blog by embedding the link.
Similarly, I used ‘Flickr’ to upload my final front cover, contents page and double page spread, so I could add notes to them about what attracts the audience.
I used ‘Microsoft PowerPoint’ to create my presentations and then uploaded them onto ‘Slideshare’, before embedding the links on my blog.
I used ‘Microsoft LifeCam’ to record my videos, which I then uploaded to ‘Youtube’ in order in to post it on my blog.
‘Microsoft Word’ and ‘Excel’ were very useful when it came to designing my questionnaire, as well as presenting the results in a graph.
I found the internet extremely useful when it came to researching, as I was able to find out a huge amount of relevant and interesting information. By
searching “fonts” in ‘Google’, I found the website ‘Dafont’. This allowed me to find any font I needed which helped me to create a visually attractive
magazine.
