PARTNERSHIP WITH THE SUNY POLYTECHNIC

INSTITUTE COLLEGES OF NANOSCALE

SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING

Albany Law School has partnered with the SUNY Polytechnic Institute

Colleges of Nanoscale Science and Engineering in a one-of-a-kind partnership

to offer courses—including Law & Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship

in Nanoscale Technology — jointly taught by faculty from both schools.

As part of this partnership, students from both schools will bring nanotech

products to the market.

GOVERNMENT LAW CENTER

Through the oldest government law center in the United States, Albany Law

students provide entrepreneurial support to startup companies in New York

by hosting Startup Law Days, working with economic development organizations

around the state, and providing educational and legal support to entrepreneurs.

Albany Law students also research and write white papers on vital legal issues

as part of an ongoing publication series devoted to educating and assisting

early-stage companies in their business growth.

ALBANY LAW JOURNAL OF

SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY

Since its inception in 1990, students have led the development of the Journal of

Science & Technology into a nationally ranked law journal. The extensive annual

legal periodic survey conducted by Washington and Lee Law School consistently

ranks the journal as one of the top student-led science and technology law journals

in the country. Journals are ranked according to their impact on the law, number

of citations by other journals, and frequency of citations in case decisions.

In 2008, the Journal of Science & Technology was ranked sixth in overall citations.
