2. Issues & Problems in Teaching Art
The integration of technology in this lesson plan is critical. It allows for less time to be spent researching the library, as students will research a set of given links on mobile laptops. The digital cameras are a great way to speed up the process of capturing and printing photographs. Using digital photos will completely cut out the cost of film and developing of film, as well as save time. Also, having the students take their own photographs will allow avoidance of copyright issues.

4. Special Considerations for Students with Disabilities, gifted, or ELL
Students with physical disabilities will be assessed, determining physical motions and manipulations that are possible.
A special education teacher will be available to assist students with special needs in photographing, uploading, and printing photos.
5. Assessment Issues
Students will be assessed by their demonstration of a complete and quality photomontage, along with a final class presentation of their work.
Students with disabilities will be assessed by completion, not quality, of their photomontage. They may present if theyd like.
6. Lesson Overview
This lesson will focus on the artwork of Cubist-inspired artist, David Hockney, and his photomontages. Students will participate in a lecture on Hockneys work followed by creating their own Cubist-inspired photomontage. Finally, the students will present their final work to the class by describing their creative choices and how they relate toHockneys work.
7. Student Objectives
The student will understand and acknowledge the artwork of David Hockney
The student will appreciate and have a good attitude towards learning art history
The student will understand how to use a digital camera and how to upload and print photos
The student will produce their own photomontage
The student will present their final artwork to class
8. Materials Needed
Laptops
Digital cameras
Photo printer, paper,&ink
Adobe Photoshop, Powerpoint Slideshow created for assignment
Pencils and paper for student research
Glue
Mounting Board

9. Evaluation Student Presentations
Before the lesson, students will receive a thorough lecture on the work of David Hockney. After the lesson, students must present their work to the class and describe the creative choices they made and how those choices reflect the work of David Hockney. Students with differing technology abilities will be assessed by the presentation instead of quality of their work.
