Academic News
All Saints Catholic School (ASCS) completed the 2017-2018 school year with an enrollment of 479 students. We continued to improve our academics with the implementation of NWEA’s Measures of Academic Progress (MAP) three times a year. This testing helps teachers drive specific instruction that is suited for students’ learning. It further helps define fluid groups for differentiation of material taught. Exciting new technology programs are assisting teachers to use these scores and allow for student-specific remediation and enrichment. Kindergarten through 2nd grade have purchased an entire mini-library of leveled reading books so that students have a greater variety to select from in their ready-to-learn level. Further, the Diocese of Palm Beach is focusing on the re-writing of the science and social studies standards and benchmarks. We look forward to new standards in these areas that will emphasize 21st Century learning. Our faculty professional development continues to grow in the areas of differentiation, using student achievement data to drive instruction, and exceptional student education. We have partnered with Healthy Aquatics which brought aquaponics to 5th through 8th grade. We also began a garden with all grades taking seeds to seedlings. Our garden harvested enough vegetables to supplement our cafeteria salad bar. Our 8th grade students continue to be accepted into challenging high schools and Choice Programs throughout Palm Beach County.

HSA Financial Report
The Home & School Association (HSA) continues to be a vital part of the funding equation at All Saints
Catholic School. Through annual fundraising events such as the Auction and the Ladies Luncheon, the HSA
continues to contribute $130,000 annually toward the school’s operating expenses. In addition, the HSA
contributed $10,000 to the school’s Hydroponics Program, $10,000 to a consultant who is assisting the
HSA with fundraising, and also committed $25,000 to a school security officer. The monies raised for the
turf field has reached $250,000.
The HSA is currently researching ways to improve fundraising opportunities, moving forward to maximize
profits on their initiatives, and continuing to support All Saints’ upcoming needs.
Dear Family and Friends of All Saints Catholic School:
The 2017-2018 Annual Report allows us to share all the wonderful accomplishments over the past year. Our
improvements in learning, service, activities, and facilities never stops. We are committed to our students
and families in all that we do. Our academic focus has been on adhering to our new rigorous religion, math,
and English Language Arts benchmarks and standards developed by the Diocese of Palm Beach. We have set
learning goals in engagement, higher level thinking, and differentiated learning with the assistance of
standardized testing (Iowa and NWEA MAP). We are embracing S.T.R.E.A.M. projects and coding within
technology. Our students are learning and having fun, and our classrooms are abuzz with excitement.
This past year’s improvements include adding new durable flooring to our kindergarten classrooms, with the
hopes of continuing through the primary grades. The cafeteria has been painted to make it an inviting space
with school spirit. We were afforded an amazing gift from the Forgatch family, in memory of Michael
Forgatch, to build the “Technology & Innovation Lab”. This gift allowed us to replace all computers and
furniture in the computer lab, as well as purchase new coding and S.T.E.M kits to enhance our ever-growing
technology. We also had major technology purchases for the classrooms including SMART boards and
software. Technological improvements are truly an ongoing endeavor to stay current and find new ways to
challenge our children. It is our goal to keep our beautiful school maintained and inviting for learning.
I would like to thank our countless volunteers who help in every way possible at our beautiful school. Their
presence at our school and fundraising is critical to who we are as a community. Our Home and School
Association is vital to this parental involvement and support of our school. I would like to take this
opportunity to particularly thank our six supporting parishes and the pastors who make up the governing
board of All Saints Catholic School. Their administrative, spiritual, and financial support of our school is
strong and ever-present.
Yours in Christ,
P. Jill Hambrook-Broz
