• Bounded by normal faults that reach up down to 5 km into the crust.
• Cenozoic sediments fill the grabens up to 10,000 feet.
• Cenozioc sediments include sandstone, siltstone, conglomerates, tuffs, and salt deposits.
• The GSL is located on top of Cenozoic sediments and above several normal faults.
