Save OPEX via Gen-set Optimization Running a Gen-set continuously to keep batteries charged is expensive. Not only is the Gen-set constantly using diesel, it will probably be running on a low capacity load, thus being very inefficient per litre.

In addition, there are other OPEX cost factor to con-sider, such as :

Batteries instead of Gen-SetYou can reduce your OPEX cost and your environmental impact by reducing how long you run your Gen-set and instead, use some of the stored energy in the batteries.

One of the standard features in the Eltek Valere Smart-pack controller is the option for the user to define when the Gen-set should be running. This can be based on system float voltage or time of day (or month).

60 % less exhaust emissionNot only do you get a fuel saving by only running the Gen-set when the batteries need charging, but you also will be running the gen-set at a higher load, thus getting more usable power per litre.
