Kairos Prison Ministry International (Kairos) is a
Christian faith based ministry that addresses the
spiritual needs of incarcerated men, women, youth, and
their families. By sharing the love and forgiveness of
Jesus Christ, Kairos hopes to change hearts, transform
lives and impact the world.
Incarcerated participants who are released re-enter the
outside world with a God centered perspective and
focus on becoming productive citizens.
Female family members find support, strength and
encouragement.
Youthful offenders acquire new God-centered values
and change their direction in life.
Families are reunited with a hope for the future.

“Kairos gave me a reason to live. I
believe that, had I not come to know God’s
love, I probably would not be here today.
How else could a person with two life
sentences survive the horrors of prison
life? All things are possible with God.
Without Him, many of us don’t make it. It
was because of Kairos that I got to know
God, and ultimately, I was given the
chance to live.” — Kairos Graduate

no cost to the prison or individuals. Your donation
will allow us to share the love and forgiveness of
Jesus Christ with even more incarcerated men and
women. Please mail your donation to:

KAIROS PRISON MINISTRY
The Kairos Inside program
brings positive and
negative leaders together, in
both male and female
institutions, for a 3½ day Weekend based on a series of
talks, discussions, chapel meditations, and music led by
a same gender team of volunteers.
The Kairos Inside program goal is to build a continuing
Christian community inside the
institution through Prayer and
Share accountability groups, and
monthly Reunions organized by
Kairos Graduates and volunteers.
Kairos Torch is a mentoring program for
incarcerated offenders age 25 and under.
The Weekend is a combined effort to
introduce young men and women to
Christian concepts as a means of making
better choices for their lives.
The initial Weekend is followed with an established
six month one-to-one weekly mentoring program that
encourages the youth to remove
their masks and see themselves
as God sees them.
The purpose of Kairos Outside is
to demonstrate God’s grace and
love through Christian support for
women who have relative/friends
who are or have been incarcerated.
Spouses, parents and relatives of the incarcerated
often “do time” right along with their loved ones.
The goal is to provide a safe
place to encourage the sharing of
one’s life journey, to create an
opportunity for a relationship
with God and to promote
participation in Support Groups.

How YOU Can Participate “What I learned at Kairos is that God doesn’t
hate me, He just hates my sins; the
volunteers taught me that He is a forgiving God
— no matter what.” — Kairos Graduate
“There is no greater joy than to hear the
testimonies of these men [or women] when they
are touched by the miracle of God’s love and
forgiveness.” — Marie, Kairos Volunteer

Join or Support a Team
You can become a Kairos volunteer, and participate in
the Weekends in the prisons or correctional facilities.
Not all volunteer opportunities to serve involve going
into a prison.
Pray for Us
Without prayer, a Weekend cannot happen. We have
people like you praying every minute of the weekend
— even all night!
Bake Cookies or Meals
We need dozens of cookies
for a typical Kairos
Weekend.
Involve Children and Youth
Let children or youth groups draw placemats or wall
posters. These drawings
often mean the most.
Create Agape Posters
Agape can be posters,
placemats and banners
addressed to the entire
Weekend community as a group. All Agape must be
done in prayerful love.
Make a Donation
All Kairos activities are funded by donations. You can
make your donation online or send a check to your
local Kairos organization.
