TELPAS Progress Rating for Teacher Raters GR 2 and
Higher Presented to Campus Trainers

IMPORTANT DETAILS
• Power Point for Trainer of Trainers (TOTs) to share with Reading/ELA teachers
• Raters will be Reading/ELA teachers in GR 2 and Higher (as linked to students via courses)
• The PRACTICE tests will be available for training and practice between now and October 8, 2012
• Practice/MOCK data will be deleted by A.R.E.
1. Choose Eduphoria!
2. Log in• Use the same information you use when
getting into your BISD email• Be careful. There’s a protection designed to recognize hackers and
it will lock you out if you incorrectly attempt to log in too many times. Contact your campus TST if that occurs.
3. Select AWARE
4. Click on Test Available
5. A list of your tests will appear
6. Highlight the rating instrument
7. Choose appropriate course(s) and click on Enter Answers
8a. Rate first student• Use the drop down arrow to choose an overall rating of Beginner,
Intermediate, Advanced, Advanced Higher, or NA (Recent Immigrant)• Enter in ratings of Listening, Speaking, Writing, and Reading
1 = Beginner 2 = Intermediate 3 = Advanced 4 = Advanced High
8b. Rate first student
• Aware will tell you the value of the (1 – 4)
9. SAVE after rating first student
10. Rate the other students• First student will have a only if you SAVED your work• Highlight the next student to be rated and continue process
until all students (that need a rating) are rated
11a. View Student Ratings
• Analyze tab• Scroll down to All Students
11b. View Student Ratings
• Scroll down to Student Inventory (found under All My Students)
11c. View Student Ratings (Continued)
• Drill down until you see the name of the inventory
12. View Scores by Student
13. View Summary of your students
14. View Individual Student Scores forOne Assessment

dept.• PreK – 1st: All questions go to the Bilingual Department• GR 2 and Up: Questions on Aware go to A.R.E. (Jennifer Gonzales)• GR 2 and Up: Questions on how to rate, what to use for rating, etc. go to the
Bilingual Department
• PRACTICE inventories will be available until October 8th so encourage your Raters to practice and learn now.
• This practice time gives us the opportunity to verify Eschools transition. Please compile any concerns you see on Aware and contact Jennifer, Cristina, or Beth.
