The Chinese University Student Information System (CUSIS), accessible via the revamped MyCUHK, will be launched on 5 July 2010 The University is implementing the Chinese University Student Information System (CUSIS) to cope with the increase of student popula- tion and changes in curricula due to the 334 Education Reform and other key initiatives. Students can manage not only their personal particulars, but also their academic activities, including course enrollment, financial aids and scholarship application, in a paperless environment online. Teaching staff can access and manage related teaching and learning information anytime, anywhere. Administrative staff can leverage CUSIS to facilitate their daily operation. Temporarily Shut Down of Campus-wide Computer Systems During CUSIS Changeover Period The shut down is to give slots for data conversion and systems modifications during the CUSIS changeover period. Some of the following critical systems/services will experience outage is New 10-digit University Student IDs (USID) Format Effective from 1 July 2010, the new ID number of all current students* will simply be their existing ID number prefixed with ‘10’ (e.g. 08123456 will become 1008123456). This USID will be used for one's different stages of studying at the University, even after gradua- tion. Students will also use the new 10-digit format USID to access CUSIS services via the revamped MyCUHK starting from 5 July 2010. *except students graduating in July/August 2010 Computer-based Training A series of computer-based training modules about use of CUSIS services will be available in late May at CUSIS website.
