1. Delivery All scientific equipments enlisted from sl. no. 01 to 49 will be delivered & installed at CTR&TI, Nagri , Ranchi (Jharkhand) except the equipments mentioned from sl. no.50 to 56. These fourteen equipments will be supplied and installed at Regional Tasar Research Station, Central Silk Board, Mantripokhari, IMPHAL (Manipur) and Regional Tasar Research Station,Central Silk Board, JAGDALPUR(Chhattisgarh) at the rate of seven equipments to each station as per following break up: UV-VIS Spectrophotometer- (One Imphal & One Jagdalpur) Flame Photometer-(One Imphal & One Jagdalpur) Electronic balance-( One Imphal & One Jagdalpur) pH meter-(One Imphal & One Jagdalpur) Conductivity bridge-( One Imphal & One Jagdalpur) Single glass distillation (Horizontal) with heating unit-(One Imphal & One Jagdalpur) Furniture for carrying out analysis with acid resistance ceramic top- (One Imphal & One Jagdalpur)
2. Quantity Quantity of the equipments will vary at the discretion of the Director, CTR&TI, Ranchi
3. Submission of tender
Sealed cover tender should be sent to “the Director, Central Tasar Research and Training Institute, Central Silk Board, Ministry of Textiles, Govt. of India, Nagri- 835303, Distt. Ranchi (Jharkhand). The sealed cover duly super scribed on the envelop as RATE QUOTATION FOR (Name of equipments) AND DUE DATE 31st August’2010 FOR ITS RECEIVING. The cost of tender documents is Rs. 200/-. In case of down load the same amount should be remitted along with the tender documents through Bank Draft in favour of “ Director, Central Tasar Research & Training Institute” and payable at Ranchi.
4 Opening of Tender
The tender will be opened on1 1st September’2010 at 11.00 AM at CTR&TI, Nagri, Ranchi. The Proprietor or their authorized representative may attend while opening the tender. In case the Office remain closed on the day of opening of quotations due to holiday/bandh or any unforeseen unavoidable circumstances, the tenders will be opened on the next working day.
5 Cost of equipment
The cost of equipments should be shown separately along with taxes, duties, transportation charges etc. upto Central Tasar Research & Training Institute, Nagri, Ranchi as well as IMPHAL & JAGDALPUR as the case may be, and any other charges to be levied which shall be firm and not variable. In case of foreign equipments, all arrangements have to be made by the firm who will quote the rate for such equipments so that the safe door delivery of the same could be done to CTR&TI, Nagri, Ranchi/ Imphal/Jagdalpur as the case may be. For this all expenditure should be mentioned in detailed & clearly.
6 Document required
Descriptions of the firm including registration/license no., experience, Technical capability, financial capabilities and supply made during last five years in the same line.
7 Validity Validity of quotations should not be less than 90 days from the date of its opening date.
8 EMD 2% of the estimated value of the equipments should be submitted along with rate quotations in the form of Demand Draft/Banker’s cheque/Fixed deposit certificate/Bank Guarantee of any nationalized commercial bank failing which the quotations will not be entertained. The EMD may be rounded off to the nearest 50/- rupees which should be drawn in favour of Director, Central Tasar Research & Training Institute, Ranchi and payable at Ranchi on any Nationalized Bank. The parties those have deposited EMD along with their rate quotations in terms of this Office “TENDER’ dated: 21.06.2010 have been retained at this Office. Such parties need not to deposit EMD along with their rate quotation again. However, in case the EMD value exceeds than the deposited amount of EMD due to the reasons of either quoting higher rate or quoting additional equipments which were not quoted earlier etc., in such circumstances the difference of EMD is to be deposited along with rate quotations to full fill the required norms of total @ 2 % EMD.
9 SMD 5% performance security shall be deposited by the party in the form of demand draft or through Bank Guarantee to whom supply orders will be served. The DD/Bank guarantee etc will be in the same manner as mentioned above at sl. (8).
10 Warranty Warranty should be clearly mentioned in the rate quotations. Maintenance terms of equipments may also be mentioned.
11 Supply of Equipments.
Supply of the equipments will be made within one month from the date of issue of supply orders along with performance security etc. to the respective destinations. In case of parties those will quote foreign equipments and required to be imported. It will be the sole responsibilities of such parties to make all necessary arrangements for its custom clearance at the landing air port without demurrage charges and its safe transportation upto this Institute/destination place by them (Tender quoting agency/firm) only. No any clearing agent will be appointed by this Office separately for custom clearance.
12 Installation and demonstration
The purchase of equipments will be installed and demonstrated & shown in working conditions at this Office premises as well as Imphal & Jagdalpur by the representatives/Engineers of the company free of cost. In case the equipments do not perform smoothly or having any defect, the same shall be taken back by the party at his own cost and arrangements. This office will not have any liability for the same.
13 Belated supply
In case the party supply the equipments belatedly or fails to supply the equipments, the EMD deposited by the party will be forfeited apart from canceling the supply orders.
14 Payment On successful supply of the equipments/installation, the bill in duplicate may be submitted to this Office which will be paid. For imported equipments the payment will be settled through opening of L/C. In such case all L/C charges should be clearly mentioned. In case of payment demanded by the firm through wire transfer, the Bank Guarantee of equal amount will have to be submitted to this Office.
NOTE: Earlier tender dated: 21st June’2010 has been cancelled due to administrative reasons.

15 Taxes and duties
(1) Up to date sale tax paid certificate of the concerned state along with TIN/TAN/PAN nos. should be incorporated with the tender documents. Otherwise the taxes would be deducted while settling the bill at this Office or the party may assess and deposit the taxes at his won level. Declarations should be given by the party along with the rate quotations. (2) Latest commercial tax clearance certificate should be enclosed with tender.
16 submission of quota tions.
The sealed cover rate quotations may be sent by post or directly submit in person. Unsealed cover or quotation submitted by FAX/E-MAIL etc. will not be accepted. The Director, CTR&TI, Nagri, Ranchi reserves the right to reject any or all the quotations at any time without assigning any reasons thereof.
17 Change of orders
The Director, CTR&TI, Nagri, Ranchi reserves the right to modify /cancel the supply orders or the quantity of equipments may be raised/reduced.
18 Settlement of disputes
Any disputes arisen between the CTR&TI, Nagri and the supplier/party will be resolved amicably keeping in view of the terms and conditions of this “tender” and discretions of the Director, CTR&TI, Nagri. Failing which the decisions of Judiciary of Ranchi jurisdictions will be final.
