Wow, March Madness is already here!!! We are getting ready

for the SEC tournament and then the Big Dance!!! This is

always a great time of year in Kentucky!!!!

Great things are also happening with the BGCA. We have a

location and date for our Golf Outing; we have reserved the

room and date for our Christmas Party to include Monte

Carlo night as well as looking into doing another Habitat

house later this year.

We had a great meeting last month with some new folks in

attendance. Please consider asking others in our industry to

join us at the March meeting. There may be potential new

members or folks that have not had the opportunity to attend

regular meetings. This is a great time to socialize with others

in the industry, share a meal and listen to a speaker that’s

relevant to our industry prior to our monthly business

meeting.

Please take a minute to look through the newsletter; there

are scholarship opportunities, CE opportunities, dates of

upcoming events and lots more.

Speaker Our speaker for March is Bob Dickson.

Bob has owned and operated Furniture Medic in Lexington for 23

years and has recently become part of ServiceMaster Restore.

In his 23 years Bob has worked in several industries including

assisting with property damage claims for furniture, cabinets,

architectural details and other areas following flood, fire and vandalism

losses.

He has served on the Board of Directors in a handful of industry

groups including the BGCA, the Claims Prevention and Procedures

Council and works actively with Furniture Medic Nationally serving his

second term on the National Franchise Council.

He has presented Continuing Education in the Claims Industry, has presented twice at the American Moving and Storage Association annual convention, as well as, teaching and speaking for 12 years about a wide variety of topics for the Claims Prevention and Procedures Council. He has also worked with Furniture Medic’s Home Office where he has presented at numerous annual conventions and taught Advanced Performance Seminars at regional meetings and at Furniture Medic’s training facility in Memphis on topics including the Moving & Storage industry, servicing commercial properties and property claims. Bob has also performed work in Kentucky as an expert witness in the area of furniture restoration and cause of damage.

BGCA Golf Sponsorship Opportunities

Below is a description of the many sponsorship opportunities. Please fill out your form below and submit with payment to

the BGCA PO Box.

BEER CART:

$500.00 — Full Cart Sponsorship or $250.00 — Co-sponsorship to share sponsorship with an­other vendor.

SPONSOR REPRESENTATIVES MAY RIDE IN THE BEER CART. No extra carts will be available for the sponsor to

follow the beer cart.

HOLE SPONSORSHIP:

$150.00 — you may set up a tent and/or table at your sponsored hole (these are not provided). The golf course may

have one extra cart (to be shared by ALL vendors) for you to take your sup­plies to your sponsored hole, but no carts

can remain at the hole.

*If a vendor sponsors a hole & a full team of 4 golfers, the least expensive golfer will be free.

CONTEST HOLE SPONSORSHIP:

$150.00 — per contest (4 contests available): Closest to the Pin Men & Women and Longest Drive Men & Women.

Sponsor must supply the prize for the winner & will oversee monitoring the hole & who participates in the contest. You

may set up a tent and/or table at the assigned hole (these are not provided). The golf course may have one extra cart

(to be shared by ALL vendors) for you to take your supplies to your sponsored hole, but no carts can remain at the hole.

*If a vendor sponsors a contest & a full team of 4 golfers, the least expensive golfer will be free.

LONGEST PUTT CONTEST:

$150.00 — for putting green. Event will take place at golf turn between the 9th & 10th holes. Sponsor is responsible for

monitoring the contest & providing the prize for the winner.

SNACK SPONSOR: 2 SPONSORS NEEDED & THIS IS BASED ON FIRST COME, 1st AVAILABLE.

$100.00 — for snacks placed in goodie bags. You may also donate pens, koozies, etc. for the bags & supply business

cards to be affixed to the snacks. Donations of the bags would also be appreciated. We are also looking for small,

collapsible insulated bags to be donated by a vendor for golfers to have on their carts.

MULLIGANS WIL BE AVAILABLE THE DAY OF THE GOLF OUTING AT A COST OF $20.00 PER TEAM.
