ACCENTUATING THE POSITIVE
TERM 2 WEEK 3 - FRIDAY 01 MAY 2020
KIA ORA E TE WHĀNAU. GREETINGS FAMILIES
It has been a big week in New Zealand. We have been at Alert Level 3 for nearly a week. Some things have changed, but a lot has stayed the same.
A small number of us have been back at school this week with the children whose parents needed to return to work and who needed support to do this. It has certainly been different at school, but we have managed all the health and safety requirements.
We need to plan our numbers for on-site learning next week to ensure we continue to meet health and safety requirements on site.
The message at Alert Level 3 still remains; stay home if you can, and children should be learning from home if they can.
If you have been notified by your employer to return to work next week and there is no adult at home to supervise your children, then you may register your child to attend school.
At Alert Level 3 we can not provide provision for before and after school care and registered children can only be on site during the set times of the school day. There is a need for staggered start and finish times, so times may vary slightly from normal school times.
In order to comply with health and safety requirements, we can not accept children who have not been registered. Please notify us by emailing [email protected] if you need to register your child to attend next week.
To all our families, I thank you for your patience and your support throughout this very unique time.
Please make contact if you need support and if you have any questions, feel free to email me at; [email protected].
Check out over the page for examples of our kaiako and tamariki’s awesome work with distance learning.
