Coronavirus COVID-19 Dear Families, thank you for your diligence with keeping your children at
home if they were feeling unwell.
Term Three brings the same challenges and it is vitally important that ▪ If your child is sick, please keep them at home.
▪ If your child has symptoms like a runny nose, fever, cough or sore throat,
see your doctor.
▪ If you are contacted by our educational team because your child is unwell,
please make arrangements immediately to collect them.
▪ Please use the hand sanitiser provided on the sign in bench on your arrival
and departure.
▪ Adults please support physical distancing practices, please maintain the
physical distancing rules of 1.5m – 2m.
▪ Children are to hang their bags up and unpack their lunch boxes and drink
bottles and wash their hands before signing in.
▪ Try to make your drop offs and pickups as quick as possible. Please email
or phone if you would like to have a longer conversation.
▪ If you have symptoms, get tested. Anyone with symptoms of COVID-19,
even mild symptoms, should get tested at a COVID-19 testing clinic.
▪ Thank you for your support and your understanding.
I would also like to acknowledge and share my sincerest thanks and appreciation to our educational team for the extra deep cleaning required each day due to the pandemic. Welcome Kylie We are all looking forward to Kylie Slade joining our
educational team.
We enjoyed some favourite fun stories shared from home. ▪ One of Toby's favourite books is
Alpaca’s with Maracas
▪ One of Layla's favourite books was a
comical book with a humorous
rhyme about a chicken racing around
space discovering aliens.
▪ One of Charlotte's favourite books is
‘Wandering Star’ a book with gentle
cantering rhythm that tells the story
of a magical horse.
Thank you for sharing! Sam shared a poem that he written.
Sam’s Poem Their once lived a turtle named Boo He snapped at a mossie – yum, yum.
He snapped a fly – yum, yum. But he couldn’t catch me!
Karen’s foot is on the mend and she should be returning either in week 3 or week 5 of term.
Week Three we welcome a UNE teaching student for one week.
Dear Families

Hello everyone, We hope you had a fun holiday and have all stayed safe and well. We have had a whirlwind two weeks travelling across the border and settling into our new home in Brisbane. Alice wants to show you some new parks we have found, we have three that we can walk to in the pram. We have also travelled on some beach adventures. At the Gold Coast beach, we could take our dog along too. Ali discovered that when she moved her fingers in the sand, she noticed “it looks like stairs”. At Woody Point, we rode our bikes along the jetty! Lots of people were fishing and we stopped to watch a girl catch a fish with her dad. Wagner Road is my new preschool. They call it Kindy here and Mac is at the same place but in daycare. The playground has lots of climbing things and we played doctors in the dress up corner, so I took in my human body book to show my new friends. At another park, we found some enormous seed pods. They made good tapping sticks, this is the tree they fell from. I also found a nest, we couldn’t find eggs or the bird who built it. The last picture shows our backyard, we have lots of shady trees. Dad built me a red swing which goes really high into the trees. Thinking of you all and hope you have a fun and healthy start to the term, Lots of love, Sarah, Bill, Alice and Mac
