INTRODUCTION
Compact, rugged and easy to use. Just aim and push the button, read current surface
temperatures in less than a second. Safely measure surface temperatures of hot, hazardous or
hard-to-reach objects without contact.
Infrared thermometer measures the surface temperature of an object. The unit’s optics sense
emitted, reflected, and transmitted energy which is collect and focused onto a detector. The
unit’s electronics translate the information into a temperature reading which is displayed on the
unit. For increased ease and accuracy the laser pointer makes aiming even more precise.
INSTRUCTIONS 1. Press battery door clip, install battery correctly. Pull the trigger and the reading & battery
icon. Release the trigger and the reading will hold for 7 secretaty.

2. Locating a hot spot: to find hot spot aim the thermometer out side the area of interest, the
scan across with up and down motions until you locate the hot spot. (please turn on the
laser to for accurate measuring)
CAUTIONS AND WARNING Infrared thermometer should be protected for the following:
- EMF (electro-magnetic fields) from arc welders, induction heaters.
- Thermal shock (cause by large or abrupt ambient temperature changes allow 30
minutes for unit to stabilize before use).
- Do not leave the unit-on or near objects of high temperature.
Do not point laser directly at eye or indirectly off reflective surfaces.
- When take measurement, point thermometer toward the object to be measured and
hold the yellow trigger. The object under test should be larger than the spot size
calculated by the field of view diagram.
- Distance and spot size: As the distance from the object increase, the spot size of
measuring area becomes larger.
- Field of view: Make sure the target is larger than the unit’s spot size. The smaller the
target the closer measure distance.
- Emissivity: Most organic materials and painted or oxidized surfaces have an emissivity
of 0.95(pre-set in the unit). Inaccurate reading will result from measuring shiny or
polished metal surfaces. To compensate, cover the surface to be measured with
masking tape or flat black paint. Measure the tape or painted surface when the tape or
painted reach the same temperature as the material underneath.
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING - Lens cleaning: Blow off lose particles using clean compressed air. Gently brush
remaining debris away with a moist cotton cloth.
- Case cleaning: Clean the case with a damp sponge/cloth and mild soap.
- Do not use solvent to clean lens.
- Do not submerge the unit in water.

INTRODUCCIÓN
Compacto, duro y fácil de usar. Apuntando el objetivo y pulsando el botón, se lee la
temperatura superficial en menos de un segundo. Mide sin contacto la temperatura superficial
de los objetos calientes, peligrosos debido a su alta temperatura, o colocados en lugares de
difícil acceso.
El termómetro digital por infrarrojos mide la temperatura superficial de un objeto. La óptica de la
unidad emite, recopila y transmite la energía captada en forma de información al detector. La
unidad electrónica visualiza la información a través de la pantalla. Apuntando el objetivo con
mayor exactitud, se obtendrán, a través del puntero del láser, temperaturas más precisas.
INSTRUCCIONES 1. Presionar el clip de la tapa de la batería y colocar la batería correctamente. Pulsando el
disparador, se visualizará en pantalla el icono LCD y el incono de la batería. Soltando el
disparador, la lectura del visualizador debe aguantar durante siete segundos.

2. Localizar un punto caliente: para localizar dicho punto, realizar barridos de un lado a otro
hasta encontarlo (por favor encender el láser para medir con precisión).
ADVERTENCIAS El termómetro por infrarrojo debería estar protegido de lo siguiente::
- EMF (áreas electro-magnéticas) desde arcos de soldadura, calentadores por
inducción,....
- Choque térmico (causado por un cambio abrupto de temperatura. Esperar 30 minutos
para estabilizar la unidad antes de usarlo).
- No dejar la unidad abierta o cerca de objetos a elevada temperatura.
No apuntar el láser directamente a los ojos o indirectamente a superficies reflectantes.
- Apuntar el termómetro hacia el objeto a medir y presionar el disparador Amarillo. El
objeto debería ser más grande que el tamaño del punto del diagrama dibujado en el
lateral derecho del termómetro.
- Distancia y tamaño del punto: si la distancia al objeto se incrementa, el tamaño del
punto del área medida se alargará.
- Espacio a observar: hacer que el objetivo sea mas grande que el tamaño del puntero.
- Emisión: La mayoría de materiales orgánicos y con superficies pintadas u oxidadas
tiene una emisión de 0.95 (preestablecido en la unidad). En superficies metálicas
pulidas se pueden obtener medidas incorrectas aunque aparentemente no lo parezcan.
Para compensarlo, cubre la superficie a medir con una cinta mate o pintada de negro
mate. Mide la temperatura de la superficie cuando la cinta o la superficie esté a la
misma temperatura que el material que está debajo.
MANTENIMIENTO Y LIMPIEZA - Para limpiar el objetivo: quitar las partículas usando un compresor de aire.
- Para limpiar el estuche: limpiar el estuche con una tela húmeda y esponjosa y jabón
ligero.
- No utilizar disolvente para limpiar el objetivo.
- No sumergir la unidad en agua.
