Liquid expansion thermometers for temperatures from -60ºC to 650ºC for aluminum models

and from -60ºC to 200ºC to polyamide ones.These instruments are very tough, easy to install

and reliable. The low thermal conductivity of models in polyamide avoids energy losses or frost

THERMADATA LOGGER

Data-loggers are electronic devices that record temperature overa period of time for analysis at a later date. The user chooseswhat information is required and the data-logger records it. Thedata-loggers incorporate a thermistor sensor that measures thetemperature, and the data-loggers internal microprocessor chipthen stores the data. The stored data can then be transferred toa computer, via a USB cradle, for further analysis at a timeconvenient to the user.

Applications for data-loggersThere are many uses for data-loggers, for example, to ensurecompliance with legislation, to help save costs, to ensure thequality of a product or process, or for research purposes in thefollowing industries:● food processing● environment● agriculture● logistics● laboratories● museums & archives● refrigeration● medical

The EC food industry directive suggests that organisations invol-ved in food preparation, storage or transportation should havethe ability to verify that the temperature of food has been keptat the correct levels. mic case that is designed to meet IP66/67 protection. SoftwareThe ThermaData logger is connected to a PC via a USB cradle.By clicking the relevant icon the data can be downloaded anddisplayed either as a graph, table or summary. The softwareincorporates several useful functions and all files can be viewedas thimbnail icons for easy identification. There are also optionsfor clients requiring other languages.

Our software is backward compatible, therefore will workequally as well with the older style ThermaData loggers as wellas the new MK II models. The software allows the user to pro-gramme the logging sample/interval rate, the real time clock,the scale(ºC/ºF), delayed start or select a magnetic start option.it is also possible to include a user ID for each logger.

By selecting continuous logging, it is possible to start theThermaData logger only once and never have to reset its para-meters again, evenif downloaded regularly. Unlike most lowcost loggers, the ThermaData logger will continue recordigduring and after downloading data.

The ThermaData logger software is supplied with each USBcradle, note that when initially ordering loggers it is necessaryto order one ThermaData logger cradle.

THERMADATA LOGGER

Data-loggers are electronic devices that record temperature overa period of time for analysis at a later date. The user chooseswhat information is required and the data-logger records it. Thedata-loggers incorporate a thermistor sensor that measures thetemperature, and the data-loggers internal microprocessor chipthen stores the data. The stored data can then be transferred toa computer, via a USB cradle, for further analysis at a timeconvenient to the user.

Applications for data-loggersThere are many uses for data-loggers, for example, to ensurecompliance with legislation, to help save costs, to ensure thequality of a product or process, or for research purposes in thefollowing industries:● food processing● environment● agriculture● logistics● laboratories● museums & archives● refrigeration● medical

The EC food industry directive suggests that organisations invol-ved in food preparation, storage or transportation should havethe ability to verify that the temperature of food has been keptat the correct levels. This is often referred to as due diligence.Data-loggers offer organisations a method of complying withfood industry legislation by offering traceability from themoment the food is received to the time it is delivered to thecustomer. For shippers, data-loggers can verify that conditionswithin the transportation vehicles have been maintained withinthe specified levels.

Monitoring the environment can help organisations ensure thatHVAC systems are used to the optimum, keeping energy use toa minimum and saving money.The ThermaData loggers are housed in a waterproof, ergono-

mic case that is designed to meet IP66/67 protection. TheThermaData loggerl range offers the customer the choice of eit-her blind data-loggers or data-loggers with a LCD display.Other options include internal and external temperature sen-sor/probe The external probes can be either fixed or detacha-

ble via a waterproof three-pin connector. The remote temperatu-re probes are supplied with a one metre PVC/PVA lead.

Each logger incorporates a red and green LED, the flashinggreen LED indicates that the logger is active/logging and theflashing red LED indicates that your customised pre-set alarmshave been exceeded. Communications are via a USB cradlethat is supplied with the ThermaData Software. Please note:when ordering loggers it is necessary to order at least oneThermaData logger cradle.

SoftwareThe ThermaData logger is connected to a PC via a USB cradle.By clicking the relevant icon the data can be downloaded anddisplayed either as a graph, table or summary. The softwareincorporates several useful functions and all files can be viewedas thimbnail icons for easy identification. There are also optionsfor clients requiring other languages.

Our software is backward compatible, therefore will workequally as well with the older style ThermaData loggers as wellas the new MK II models. The software allows the user to pro-gramme the logging sample/interval rate, the real time clock,the scale(ºC/ºF), delayed start or select a magnetic start option.it is also possible to include a user ID for each logger.

By selecting continuous logging, it is possible to start theThermaData logger only once and never have to reset its para-meters again, evenif downloaded regularly. Unlike most lowcost loggers, the ThermaData logger will continue recordigduring and after downloading data.

The ThermaData logger software is supplied with each USBcradle, note that when initially ordering loggers it is necessaryto order one ThermaData logger cradle.

UKAS Certificates of CalibrationETI's in-house UKAS calibration laboratory offers certificationfor both temperature and humidity data-loggers. Each certifica-te indicates deviations from standards at five temperature orhumidity check points.
