    CLIMATE AND RESOURCESThe climate in southern Europe is called aMediterranean climate. The climate is warm andsunny in the summer and mild and rainy in theWinter. Southern Europe's climate is one of its mostvaluable resources. It supports the growing of manycrops, and it attracts tourists.

    The seas are another important resource inSouthern Europe. Many of the region's cities areports, shipping goods all over the world. In addi-tion, the seas support profitable fishing industries.
