• STEP+ test contains 4 sections:• Grammar

• Listening

• Reading• Speaking

• It’s a timed test. You have up to 52 minutes to complete it.

• The test clock shows time remaining.

• You cannot move back and forth through the test. After you have submitted an answer to a question, you can’t access it again.

• You cannot move forward to the next question until you have answered the current question.

Before you start

Your welcome email is sent by GlobalEnglish (do-not-reply@globalenglish.com) with a subject of “Welcome to One Assessment (STEP+)”.

Step 1: Set up your profile

Set up your password

In your Welcome email, choose Continue to Test and you will be taken to the profile setup page.

Step 2: Check your system

System Check verifies that:• you can play and hear audio files • your Flash Permissions are properly set up (IE and Safari10 or lower versions only)• your microphone is set to an appropriate recording level

Step 2: Check your systemIf System Check identifies any problems, follow the Customer Support link to contact the GlobalEnglish Customer Support team.

Step 3: Take the test

The assessment consists of 4 sections:

• Grammar• Listening• Reading• Speaking

You will be given several sample questions before each section starts.

§ The Speaking section consists of 3 parts:§ In Part A, you’ll record yourself

reading a paragraph.§ In Part B and Part C, you’ll listen

to questions and then record your answers.

§ You may NOT pause the timer during the Speaking section.

§ You can only record each answer ONCE.

Step 4: View your results

The Speaking section results may take up to 48 hours to be posted, after the teachers grade your answers.

You will receive a notification email once yourtest results are ready to be viewed.
