How to Install Magento 2 Testimonial Extension:

Step 1:

Unzip extension package and upload it into the followed by given path:

Path: root-directory -> app -> code -> Commersys

Step 2:

Enter the following command lines step by step

i. Check the status of a placed module in the module list

> php bin/magento module:status

ii. Enable the module

> php bin/magento module:enable Commersys_Testimonial

iii. Run step upgrade command

> php bin/magento setup:upgrade

iv. To generated code and dependency injection, run compile command

> php bin/magento setup:di:compile

v. Deploy static content (if mode=development then not mandatory)

> php bin/magento setup:static-content:deploy

vi. Clean and data flush commands

> php bin/magento cache:clean

> php bin/magento cache:flush

After executing all commands, Testimonial Extension installation process completed.

Step 3:

Configuration Magento 2 Testimonial Extension

Login in Magento 2 admin panel, navigate to "COMMERSYS" setting configuration followed by given path:

Path: COMMERSYS -> Settings -> Testimonial

General Settings:

Module Status: Enable/Disable

Show Testimonial on homepage:

If “Yes” You can Add Testimonial Slider widget on Home Page

Path: CONTENT -> Elements -> Widgets

Maximum allowed testimonials on homepage:

You can limit no of slide items for Slider widget.

Testimonial Page Frontend View:

After Enabling Module you can access it using

Testimonial Settings:

Customer Allow:If “Yes” Customers will be allowed to submit testimonials.

Admin Approval:

If “Yes” testimonials will be visible on frontend after Admin Approval.

Allowed Designations:

You can add Designations like (CEO, Project Manager). If Set only testimonials having these designations will be visible on frontend.

By Default all testimonials will be visible

Total number of testimonial allowed as featured testimonial on Testimonial Page:

You can limit no of slide items on Testimonial Listing Page on Frontend.

Sensor words:

You can enter comma separated words f.eg. Viral,Graphic

Testimonials with these words will not be visible on frontend.

Sort By:

Latest/Older

SEO URL Suffix:

If entered “.html” Frontend Url will be

YoursiteUrl/testimonial.html/

Allow Social Link:

If “Yes” following Fields will be visible in Testimonial Form.

Allow Rating:

If “Yes” Rating Field will be visible in form.

Allow Image:

If “Yes” Image Field will be visible in form.

Image upload size/dimension:

Recommended Size: 150x150

Image upload extension:

Supports Extension: f.eg. jpg,png,jpeg,gif

Based on your Configurations, following fields for Testimonial Form will be visible/configured on Frontend.

Testimonials Links Settings

Link Title:This title will be shown as label in header & FooterAdd link in Header:Link will be added in Header Top menu.Add link in Footer:Link will be added in Footer menu.

Email Settings:

Enable:

if “Enabled” Emails will be sent when

1. Testimonial submitted on Frontend.2. Testimonial approved by Admin

Sender Name:

Name from which Email will be Send

Sender Email:

Email will be Send using this email

Email Template:

Select “Testimonial Email Template”

Email Subject:

This subject will be added when Testimonial submission email will be sent.

Approved Email Subject

This subject will be added when Testimonial approved email will be sent.

Google Captcha

Enable:

If enabled Google captcha verification will be required before submitting form on Frontend.

Google Captcha Site Key:

Google Captcha Secret Key :

You need to get Google reCaptcha V2 keys from your google account.

Create Slider Widget:

Path: CONTENT -> Elements -> Widgets

Choose Display on Settings according to your requirements

This heading will be displayed at the top of Slider.
