TGS has teamed up with Bain Geophysical Services, a worldwide expert in the integrated interpretation of gravity and magnetic data, to provide high valued interpretation products based on the Gigante survey data, combined with public domain data sets over the entire Gulf of Mexico (GoM).

Phase I - Crustal Thickness and COBRegional gravity inversion to derive depth to Moho, crustal thickness, COB/OCTRegional study area grids of: depth to Moho, crustal thickness, crustal thinning factor, BetaRegional study area: Continental/Oceanic crustal boundaries (COB/OCT)Detailed study area (where TGS gravity data are provided): grids of above updated to reflect the areas of higher resolution input gravity data

Phase 2 - Depth to BasementDepth to Magnetic (Crystalline) Basement (over Gigante survey coverage)Computed, edited depth to magnetic basement pointsDepth to magnetic basement (regional as first pass, followed by updated in-fill grid, though one single project deliverable is contemplated for later clients, interim products will be made available as completed as an incentive for early participants)

Phase 3 - Basement TerranesBasement Terranes - Magnetic Inversion to Derive Apparent Susceptibility of Basement (Gigante)Apparent basement susceptibility / petrology map using magnetic inversion methods, including assessment of magnetic terrane boundaries, compartments, etc. to assist delineation of crustal boundaries and regional tectonic interpretation.

License of this project does not require a license for the underlying seismic data. However, Licensees of more than 35% of the Gigante 2D project will receive preferred pricing on this interpretation project.

Deliverables:• Grids will be provided in a variety of formats, including:

Landmark ascii, Geosoft (.grd), LCT and ArcView (.flt)• Images will be provided as Geotif• Polyline files will be provided as Geotif and Shapefiles• PowerPoint summary report
