REGISTRATION FORM 18th NATIONAL CIVIL ENGINEERING STUDENTS’ STUDENT
June 17, 2017 SMX Convention Center, Seashell Lane, Mall of Asia Complex, Pasay City
1. The competition is open to all PICE Student Chapter Members in good standing.
2. A team shall consist of not more than 5 members per student chapter. PICE membership ID and school ID of team members must be presented. School ID of team members must be worn during the duration of the competition.
3. Team members must be registered participants in the 18
th
National Civil Engineering Students’ Summit.
4. Registration fee of PhP1,000.00 shall be charged per team. Submit the entry form and the requirements to the PICE National Office by 5:00 PM on June 5, 2017. Membership will be validated as soon as the registration form is received.
5. Mechanics of the competition
5.1 The team shall construct the model bridge within three (3) hours, on the spot, at the designated venue and date.
5.2 Materials to be used will be announced and supplied by the PICE National at the start of the competition.
5.3 All specific details will be announced during the competition proper. The main criterion of selecting the winner is the strength-to-weight ratio.
5.4 Once the bridge has been submitted for testing, nobody is allowed to neither move nor alter any part. Only two members of the team shall be allowed to assist the judges during the testing.

winning teams shall be given. Cash prizes shall be given to the winning teams: 1

PhP30,000.00, 2nd
– PhP20,000.00 and 3rd
– PhP15,000.00 respectively.
A Special Prize of PhP10,000.00 will be given to the entry with the BEST AESTHETICS.
7. The decision of the Board of Judges shall be final.
RULES AND GUIDELINES 10th RUBE GOLDBERG DESIGN COMPETITION

4. Registration fee of Php 1,000.00 shall be charged per team(but snacks will be provided).
5. The deadline of submission of entries (with complete information such as names of the members of the group, title of the entry and description how the machine will work) is on June 5, 2017 to National Secretariat c/o Wilma Ojastro.
6. All entries shall be exhibited during entire duration of the Students' National Summit/Conference at the convention site.
