This condensed program will give you a complete review of the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery in just two days. You will benefit from the diversity and depth of twelve knowledgeable and dynamic speakers who will highlight current concepts and the latest approaches to patient diagnosis and management.

After this course you should be better able to:

• assess the physical condition of the surgical patient and modify treatment based on systemic conditions.

• summarize current dentoalveolar surgical methods including management of complications.

• describe basic and advanced concepts in dental implantology.

• develop criteria for the use and administration of local, conscious and general anesthetic agents.

• diagnose, treatment plan, and surgically manage patients with dentoskeletal deformities, including cleft lip and palate, and craniofacial syndromes.

• develop a comprehensive treatment plan for the patient with facial trauma that includes a sequence for managing hard and soft tissue injuries.

• identify indications, apply surgical techniques and manage complications for the cosmetic facial surgical patient.

• describe the standards used in the assessment and treatment of temporomandibular joint disease and facial pain.

• identify the diagnosis and management of maxillofacial infections, distinguish minor and major infections and determine their consequences.

• identify indications for local, regional, and microvascular reconstructive techniques for the head and neck.

• recognize, differentiate and treat oral and maxillofacial pathological conditions.
