Children's Behavioral Health Initiative Therapeutic Mentoring Therapeutic Mentoring (TM) is a comprehensive approach that provides consistent, structured, and one on one support to youth with a broad array of emotional and developmental conditions. TM services are provided to youth (ages 3-20), who have/need a therapist, and who could benefit from increasing communication skills, social skills, and addressing day to day challenges. TM provides opportunities for your child to learn new strategies and build positive experiences in their community TM provides support and coaching in following instructions, listening, asking for help, etc. TM models and encourages practice of skills, and celebrates progress with your child TM creates a positive relationship with your child while helping them reach their goals Does Your Child Need... Who Pays for TM?

Where and When is TM provided?

Who Receives TM Services?*Children with a social/emotional diagnosis or Autism Spectrum Disorder 

*Families who voluntarily consent to services *Youth who reside in a family home environment

*In the home and community - the location that fits your child’s needs *As an intensive service, sessions occur at least once per week 

*Children are asked to designate at least 2-3 hours per week for their TM *TM provides 24/7 phone support

TM is paid for by MassHealth with the following insurances : Boston:  MBHP, Beacon Fallon, NHP, BMC, Tufts Network Health Metro:  MBHP, Beacon Fallon, NHP, BMC, Tufts Network Health

Southeast: MBHP
