About INFLIBNET
The Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre
is an autonomous Inter-University Centre (IUC) of the
University Grants Commission (UGC) located in the
Infocity, Gandhinagar. Major activities and services of the
Centre are geared towards modernization of academic
libraries and information centres, promotion of
information transfer and access, support scholarship,
learning and academic pursuits. The Centre acts as a nodal
agency for networking of libraries and information centres
in universities, institutions of higher learning and R & D
institutions in India. The Centre was established as an
independent autonomous Inter-University Centre of the
UGC in May 1996 and set out to be a major player for
promoting scholarly communication among academicians
and researchers across the country.

KIIT emphasizes on its library systems and services that
support the all round academic and research requirement.
The University has set up a huge central library along with
16 fully fledged school libraries. The Central Library acts as
the main learning resource centre of the University and
plays an integral role in supporting academic programmes
of the University. It monitors and guides the school
libraries running across different schools of the university
in 24x7 hours mode under the umbrella of Central Library.
It identifies, evaluates, procures, processes and then
makes the key learning resources available to the faculty
and students for their teaching, learning and research
assignments. It further guides school libraries in
developing their respective collections as well as services.

The University library resources comprises excellent
collections of books, reports, journals, electronic
resources, institutional repository and items in all
conceivable areas to encourage interdisciplinary and value
added research. The library has over the years built a
robust collection of over 9,51,630 books, 5275 bound
volumes, 585 current subscription to print journals,
magazines, newspapers, and many other resources. The
Central Library offers its users the convenient access to the
best of Engineering, Business and Management, Law,
Biotechnology, Medical Science related digital resources
through its subscription to 45 e-databases and more than
28,000+ e-journals consisting of scholarly contents round
the clock all across the campus via Wi-Fi network.

Located around 6 km away from the city-centre, the
Bhubaneswar Airport or Biju Patnaik International Airport
connects the city with rest of the country by air. There are
daily flights for Bhubaneswar from cities like New Delhi,
Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bangalore
Bhubaneswar, a capital city of the Indian state of Odisha, is
a centre of economic and religious importance in Eastern
India. With Konark and Puri, the city forms the Swarna
Tribhuja (Golden Triangle), one of Eastern India’s most
