REGISTER FOR CT CREDENTIALING
COURSE FOR IA16D LICENCE
CT Certification Pathway
Approved by the NSW EPA (reciprocity confirmed in WA, ACT, QLD,
Vic) in 2018 RAINS will re-run the CT certification course to gain
licencing for NMTs for performing diagnostic CT (IA16D). CSU
students now graduate with full CT certification so qualified
practitioners need the opportunity to upgrade in a cost effective,
flexible & convenient manner. Similar reciprocal arrangements have
been negotiated locally in New Zealand and other states of Australia.
For those wishing to pursue the IA16D licence or equivalent in their
state, the program comprises 3 components:
1). Self study module that will be completed in the months April –
October 2018.
2). The face to face modules delivered at CT conference in November
2018.
3). A log book of the equivalent of 3 weeks full time supervised
practice in diagnostic CT.
Note: Registration in the CT course allows attendance at
Saturday and Sunday plenary sessions (session 1 each day).

PHARMACOLOGY COURSE
Certificate Course
Activities with a foundation of pharmacology have been part of the scope of
practice of nuclear medicine technologists and radiographers for many decades.
Radiopharmaceuticals, contrast, interventional medications, medication
cessation, emergency trolley etc. AHPRA / MRPBA registration recognises that
the capabilities are the minimum standard for entry and maintenance of
registration and also represent our ‘scope of practice’. This includes specific
capabilities in domain 5.8:
• apply knowledge of pharmaceuticals relevant to their division of registration:
• demonstrate understanding of the principles and applications of
pharmaceuticals;
• demonstrate understanding of the risks, precautions and contra-
indications of pharmaceutical use;
• apply knowledge of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics and the
potential range of reactions to drugs or agents relevant to their division
of registration
• follow procedures to endure delivery of correct pharmaceuticals to
patients/clients
This course aims to upskill MRTs to provide evidence for capabilities and
comprises 2 components:
1). Self study module that will be completed in the months April – October 2018.
2). The 1 day face to face modules delivered at the conference in November 2018.
Note: Registration in the pharmacology course includes attendance at
Saturday plenary session (session 1) and discount registration for the
full Sunday program applies.
