is a premier residential two-year accredited technical college that provides a free education to financially disadvantaged citizens of Pennsylvania as well as serves tuition paying students. Stevens has expanded from its original student body of 15 to over 850 students who are enrolled in 19 high-skill, high-wage technical programs. At 98%, Stevens has one of the highest placement rates in the United States. Over 90% of the College’s graduates have remained in the Commonwealth since tits founding in 1905.

A residential college originally founded to benefit the State’s indigent orphans, Stevens serves economically disadvantaged as well as tuition-paying students. majorsThaddeus Stevens College of Technology offers 19 innovative technical-based majors that educate and train students for many different job opportunities. Knowledge and skills enable graduates of the programs to excel in their lives, both professionally and personally. Major classes allow students the opportunity to learn from instructors who have had ample experience in the industries they are teaching and provide a unique, hands-on, project based curriculum. The hands-on nature of the programs allow students the experience, problem solving ability and the skills that will be used throughout their careers. Accredited by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, some Thaddeus Stevens graduates choose to pursue higher level degrees at 4-year colleges and universities.

leThaddeus Stevens College is aware that the cost of education often places a financial strain on both the student and their family. Originally founded to benefit the State’s indigent orphans, Stevens works to serve economically disadvantaged and tuition-paying students.

The Stevens Grant assists students who are financially disadvantaged. To be eligible, students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Those that qualify for the Federal Pell Grant will be awarded the Stevens Grant.

The Stevens Grant covers the following costs:

For students who do not qualify for the Stevens Grant, the Financial Aid Office assists by obtaining financial assistance through a variety of programs, including:

• Grants from the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agenct (PHEAA)• Student Loans (Stafford)• Parent Loans (PLUS)

sports and activitiesAt Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology, we recognize the importance athletics can play in a student’s life. From a recreational to an educational opportunity, athletics provide personal growth and leadership skills and help to emphasize the importance of teamwork both on and off the field.

The intercollegiate Athletics Program at Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology includes:

A variety of intramural sports are offered as well, including volleyball and one-on-one basketball.

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology offers a two-year education in a four-year setting. The 32-acre campus offers many amenities in addition to state-of-the-art classrooms and labs.

Housing: Thaddeus Stevens College offers on campus housing in five residence halls. Each building offers local telephone service, internet access, cable television and air conditioning.

Jones Dining Hall:Thaddeus Stevens College offers a spacious and comfortable dining hall that services meals seven days a week.

Women’s Center:The Women’s Center at Thaddeus Stevens College offers resources for women both on campus and within the community to empower them with the skills, confidence and knowledge to successfully seek career opportunities.

Kenneth W. Schuler Learning Resources Center: The purpose of e LRC is to proved information resources and services necessary for promoting the academic mission of the College. This is a Wi-Fi facility. Onsite tutoring is also available.

Multipurpose Activity Center:The Mac is a 61,000 square foot facility center which houses a gymnasium, two raquetball courts, an elevated 110-meter track, coaching offices, a training center, locker rooms and a state-of-the-art fitness center, complete with free weights and various other workout equipment.

Thaddeus Stevens College provides educational opportunities and life experiences to individuals who have the intent, desire, and abil-ity to seek an advanced technical education.

Because each program area requires different abilities, admissions standards vary from program to program.

Admission is offered without regard to age, sex, handicap, race, religion, creed, national origin, veteran status, or political affiliation. All applicants, however, must be residents of Pennsylvania for a minimum of one year prior to their start date.

How to apply: Submit a Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology application Submit the $25 application fee (waiver forms available for those who qualify financially) Submit a transcript of high school and/or college grades or a copy of GED scores and GED document (high school transcripts should include PSSA scores)

Thaddeus Stevens College of Technology is located in southcentral Pennsylvania, just blocks from downtown Lancaster. The College is approximately 71 miles west of Philadelphia and 38 miles east of Harrisburg.

Tours of the campus are available upon request. Tour times are: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. To schedule a tour of the campus, please call 717-299-7772.

Directions to Thaddeus Stevens College of TechnologyThaddeus Stevens College of Technology is located at the east end of Lancaster on King Street (Rt. 462) the main thoroughfare for travel east.

From York or West via Route 30: Take Route 30 East to the Route 23 West, (Walnut St. Exit). (See directions from Route 23 Exit.)

From Philadelphia and South Eastern PA via Route 30: Proceed West on Route 30 to Route 462 West. Continue on Route 462 West to the campus, far left hand corner at light at King and Broad Streets.

From the Pennsylvania Turnpike: Exit the Turnpike at Lancaster/Reading (Exit 286) and proceed South on Route 222 to Route 30 East. Take Route 30 East to the Route 23 West, (Walnut St. Exit). (See directions from Route 23 Exit.)

From Philadelphia and North: Follow Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 286. Exit the Turnpike at Lancaster/Reading (Exit 286) and proceed South on Route 222 to Route 30 East. Take Route 30 East to the Route 23 West, (Walnut St. Exit). (See directions from Route 23 Exit.)

From South via Route 272: Proceed North on Route 272 to the center of Lancaster. Turn right on East King Street and continue to the campus.

From Harrisburg or via Route 283: Take Route 283 East to Route 30 East ot the Route 23 West, (Walnut St. Exit). (See directions form Route 23 Exit.)

From Pittsburgh—North and West: Exit the Turnpike at Harrisburg West (Exit 19) and proceed East on Route 283 to Route 30 East. Take Route 30 East to Route 23 West (Walnut St. Exit). (See directions from Route 23 Exit.)

From Route 23 (Walnut St. Exit): Turn right off exit ramp, at the third traffic light turn left on Broad Street, cross over King Street and turn Right into admissions parking lot.
