Description:
Aspire is a course that helps young people discover a sense of destiny and begin
to turn that destiny into a reality. We create opportunities for young people to
become actively involved in their community through projects that engage them
with the community directly, raising the aspirations of each young person through
placement opportunities, youth work, and so much more.
Its purpose is to help engage and creatively move forward any young person who
is struggling to find access to further education, training and employment
opportunities. Since the project started, Aspire has had many young people go
through its courses, with the majority of those attending successfully accessing
college, apprenticeships and employment. Aspire is not a programme to reduce
youth unemployment, but an opportunity for young people to realise their
potential, discover their aspirations and find long term ways of seeing them
become reality.

Stage 1: 6 weeks, 3 days a week Motivational/Enrichment course called Motiv8. We are able to take up to 15 learners every 6 weeks on this course.
Learners have to be 16 to 18 years old but we can also take on learners that are approaching their 16th birthday and are not currently engaged with any other
provider (eg NEET, excluded or home schooled pupils etc.). Learners would have to be qualified UNDER level 3 to be eligible for funding for this course and
they cannot be on roll with any other provider. Our first Motiv8 will be commencing on Monday 11th April and the enrolment process has now commenced.
Please note that all bus travel costs are covered and we offer free breakfast and lunch. The course is a combination of enrichment activities, accredited
training, non-accredited training, motivational sessions, employability and work preparation.
Stage 2: Progression from the Motiv8 course will be to a 6 to 14-week Liberty Traineeship in one of the following career areas; Construction, Children and
Young People, Customer Service or Business Administration (including English and maths).
Stage 3: Progression from the Traineeship will be to a level 2 or 3 Liberty Apprenticeship in one of the following career areas; Construction,
Children and Young People, Customer Service or Business Administration. Learners do not have to complete all 3 stages but we advise that
they do and we will not be starting the Traineeship until the end of May and the Apprenticeships until August 2016 at the earliest. All of the
above will have at least 4 enrolment periods per academic year. To refer to this programme, please email our Teaching Assistant and Learning
Mentor Lauren Richardson at [email protected] or ring 07496127012 and she will invite them in to find out more and join the programme.
Please note that Liberty Training are set up to work with the hardest to reach young people and we take a holistic approach when advising
learners and breaking down their barriers to progression. Each learner has an individualised and bespoke training package as per their
needs. Due to this, some of the content of all of our courses is subject to change depending on the needs of our learners. As you can see our
first Motiv8 starts on the 11th April for those that are currently NEET, home schooled or excluded but we will be repeating this programme
approximately every 6 weeks, so that it can involve current year 11’s at a later stage in this academic year. Please do not hesitate to get in
touch should you require more information.
