Experience the Vinyl Revival at the KPBX Recordings & Videos Sale, set for Feb. 25 and 26 at the Lincoln Center, 1316 N. Lincoln St. in Spokane. The annual fundraiser for SPR features other music and film formats too, including CDs, DVDs, tapes, and the equipment to play them all on. The big attraction, however, has always been vinyl records and 45s. Those items all come from donors who are ready to let their past treasures go. Music, movies, and gear come in as people find new interests or downsize their stuff. SPR accepts donations at four locations through Feb. 11. Guidelines are online at SpokanePublicRadio.org. In general, items should be clean and gently used, with their original sleeves, booklets, and covers. KPBX first held the sale in 1990 with a few boxes of donated items displayed at REI. Back then, the music and news station was only 10 years old and CDs had just started outselling vinyl. The sale has grown to hundreds of boxes, moved with help of Spokane Movers. “Every year, we’re amazed and humbled by our listeners’ generosity, and grateful for the businesses and institutional community that provide donations,” says Kathy Sacket, SPR Events Director. From Cary Boyce, President and General ManagerThese are critical times for our communities, our country, and our world.

When are they not? I am increasingly convinced of the importance of our local public radio service. Independent national and local news is vital to our understanding. It is also expensive, but the cost of not knowing what’s taking place in the world would be much higher.

I am exceptionally proud of Spokane Public Radio – of our service, our staff, and our resiliency in the face of considerable challenges. I’m also pleased with our growth. I hope you will join me in continuing this trend of growth and excellence. It’s OUR public radio station – and it both needs and deserves our support. Now more than ever.

Experience the Vinyl Revival at the KPBX Recordings & Videos Sale, set for Feb. 25 and 26 at the Lincoln Center, 1316 N. Lincoln St. in Spokane. The annual fundraiser for SPR features other music and film formats too,

including CDs, DVDs, tapes, and the equipment to play them all on. The big attraction, however, has always been vinyl records and 45s.Those items all come from

donors who are ready to let their past treasures go. Music, movies, and gear come in as people find new interests or downsize their stuff. SPR accepts donations at four locations through Feb. 11. Guidelines are online at SpokanePublicRadio.org. In general, items should be clean and gently used, with their original sleeves, booklets, and covers. KPBX first held the sale in 1990 with a few boxes of donated items displayed at

REI. Back then, the music and news station was only 10 years old and CDs had just started outselling vinyl. The sale has grown to hundreds of boxes, moved with help of Spokane Movers. “Every year, we’re amazed and humbled by our listeners’ generosity, and

grateful for the businesses and institutional community that provide donations,” says Kathy Sacket, SPR Events Director. Hundreds of music lovers traditionally line up before the doors open and
