From the Co-Founders 2
When we started EfforTZ, we made the
decision to fund the education of our
scholarship students for their entire
academic careers. We felt anything less would
be to abandon these young people before they had
reached their full potential.
When we made this decision, we knew we would
need your help. Today, we know we made the right
decision because you have been with us every step of
the way.
You’ve shown you’re as committed to these young
people as we are. For that, we’re filled with gratitude!

Mission 3
Our Mission is to provide a quality education
to the poorest children of Tanzania. We do this by
providing four types of assistance:
• Scholarships to orphaned boys, Maasai
girls (who would otherwise be married off at
12 or 13 for the dowry), and other
impoverished children.
• School supplies to public schools that
lack the most basic educational materials.
• Books to create libraries in schools.
• Volunteers to provide classroom
enrichment activities in public primary schools.

Reviews by Sponsors & Friends 13
“EfforTZ is one of the best nonprofits in Tanzania. I have
known EfforTZ, its founders and some of the students they sponsor for six
years. During this period I have observed how EfforTZ has managed to change
the lives of these children…” -Mathias L. Bali, teacher in Tanzania and U.S.,
EfforTZ Sponsor and Volunteer
“EfforTZ has changed lives in my village of Eluai…In the
past three years, EfforTZ brought a light to my village and now young girls who
were being married by their parents are now being saved by EfforTZ…”
-Merege, Maasai from the village of Eluai, Tanzania
“We have been sponsoring a child in this program since
it's inception and it has been wonderful to watch the boy we sponsor grow
into a young man. He sends us letters about all the things he is learning and
telling us how much he appreciates our sponsorship…”
-Ellen Russo, Sponsor
