To Year 7 Whitley Academy 2020 students,

Welcome to Whitley Academy.At school my favourite meal in the canteen at break time is a sausage bagel. At lunch time my favourite is the wedges. At first it might feel scary but don’t worry it will be fine after the first day. New people in my class made me feel welcome I made a new friend on the first day and I think she made me feel better because we had each other. The teachers are very welcoming and never be scared to talk to them.At school I feel happiest when I’m with my friends. I also feel happiest when I’m in classes with my friends because you can go to class with them and you won’t get lost. Don’t worry it’s easy to find your way around. I helped others when I first started by saying hi and just trying to make friends to make them feel welcome as much as I wanted to feel welcome.

To Year 7 Whitley Academy 2020 students,

Year 7 at Whitley Academy is one of the best experiences I have

ever had. On my first day, I was very frightened because the

school is very big compared to my primary school. Also, I thought

the teachers will be very strict and unfriendly. However, things

turned out to be so different from what I expected. I have made a

lot of new friends and every one is nice. The teachers are not

strict at all, and they always help me when I need help.

One of the things I have enjoyed at Whitley is our big canteen

with variety of foods. I always look forward to my break times to

get my favourite meal, TFC with fries, yummy.

My favourite place is the quad because it is the place where I

hangout with my friends. I hope you will also have a very good

experience @ Whitley. Stay safe from Covid 19.

To Year 7 Whitley Academy 2020 students,

On my first day at Whitley Academy, I was a little bit

nervous, but the teachers assured me that it would ok

and made me feel welcome, I am sure they will make you

feel welcome too. I felt the most happiest in the canteen

because I got to talk to my friends and I got to relax for a

bit. One of my favourite subjects in school was maths

because we got to answer complicated questions(that

were fun and exciting). My best day at Whitley Academy

was on my first day because I knew it was the start of a

new journey. The people that made me feel the most

excited were my friends because I knew that I was not

going into secondary school alone. My advice to you is

that you should stay calm on your first day and not get

too stressed out or nervous but most importantly have

fun and have a great time at Whitley Academy (GOOD

Whitley academy is a very friendly school. I have

managed to make new friends. The teachers have

welcomed me into Whitley Academy.

My best piece of advice is to be nice and helpful to

everyone.

The canteen serves great food.

Our P.E and DRAMA lessons have been fun.

The teachers will help you if you need it and I’m

sure it won`t take long to meet new friends.

To Year 7 Whitley Academy 2020 students,

Day1: Getting ready for my first day was exciting as well as nerve wracking .When I arrived at the gate I saw my friends and felt a lot better. We sat in line ready to go to are classrooms I was excited going in to a new school new people and lots of opportunity. I was sitting in my seat feeling proud and happy that I can embrace every challenge that I face. Going over the expectations was really important because you get to see what will happen if you make a mistake.It was time for lunch, I have never been so overwhelm with the amount of options they had. The canteen was loud but also it was nice. Waiting in the line was fun because you can catch up with your friends. End of lunch was nice as I felt responsible that I had to walk myself back to lesson on time.Lesson where fun I got to talk with different people and find out about them and what they want to accomplish in the next few years.It was a big change going from the biggest in the school to the smallest but we soon adapted.End of the day was exciting and sad, as I had such a good day and

wanted to go but I wanted to go home and chill as well!!See you soon Brooke!
