Hello, fellow M.O.M.!
First, thank you so much for purchasing M.O.M. — Master Organizer of Mayhem! I’m so
excited for you to start implementing all that you have been reading about in the book.
I’m hoping that M.O.M. will spark creative ideas on how to better “master the mayhem”
in your #momlife.
Below you will find the printables that accompany the first section of M.O.M. — Master
Organizer of Mayhem! A few pages are straight from the Unlocking Joy sections with
some extra details. Other print outs are custom designed to help you put into action
what you just read in the book. These printables are meant to go hand-in-hand with
your M.O.M. book, so fight the urge to skip ahead with the printables until you read
the corresponding chapter.
You’ll find a meal planner on the very last page. That’s actually a little teaser for my
Meal Planning Made Easy course. That course was put on hold while I wrote this book.
In 2020, I should have two amazing new home organization courses available. I can’t
wait for you to see them.
With that said, let’s get started! Take your time as you work through each chapter;
organization doesn’t happen in a day. Just keep reminding yourself that you can do
it, because…
You’re the M.O.M.!
Blessings and joy,
KristiP.S. Be sure that we are connecting online. I love Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook!
Thanks for Ordering!

Create a list of what you need to learn and what you want to learn. Maybe your
problem area, like mine, is paper piles, or maybe it’s cleaning techniques or kitchen
organization. You might even have baking or gardening on your wish-you-knew-
how-to-do list. Just write it down below. This will help you narrow your focus to
what you need to be researching.

Don’t Start from Scratch

Write down your “why.” Why do you want to get organized in your home?

activities, and commitments in your life fit in with your priorities.

Rule #3:TAKE BABY STEPS:
Slow and Steady for the Win
Steps for Creating a Home Organization Master List:
• Print a separate “Master M.O.M. List” for each room and area that you want
to organize. Don’t forget hallways, closets, and entry ways.
• Walk through each room slowly and write out what needs to get done or
problem areas you see.
• Take time to strategize possible solutions and add them to the box on the
right hand side of the printable on the next page.
• Categorize your list down the left hand side using the ABC method below. First
determine which room needs your attention first (ABC), then categorize that
room’s master list (ABC).
A = Absolutely needs to get done soon
B = Better get done soon
C = Can wait to be done later
• Pick one task or project to start working on. If the project is going to take
multiple steps, then print an extra “Master M.O.M. List” and break down that
project into smaller (baby) steps.

Rule #4:DO YOUR “WORST THING” FIRST!:
Attacking the Projects We Tend to Put Off
What Is Your “Worst Thing”?
Take a look at your master list and pick one “worst thing” from the tasks that you circled
that you’d like to finally get off your to-do list (as described in the book). Write those
items down in the area provided on the “Master M.O.M. List.”
Create your battle plan for conquering your “worst thing.”
• Pick your worst “Worst Thing” to conquer. What is it?
• Schedule a time for tackling this project. When will you do it?
• Work backward. What will that project look like done?
• Create a list of supplies you will need:
• Break down your project into bite-size tasks. What are the specific action
steps for your task?
• Eliminate distractions. What distractions do you foresee?
* Get it done! You’ve got this!

Do you have any hoarding habits? If so, what are they?
Where does your clutter tend to hide and accumulate?
What would you grab if you were being evacuated from your home? What would
you miss the most? Do you even know where those things are, if you had to grab them
in an emergency?

Rethinking Our Relationship with “Stuff”

Rule #6:GET YOUR GROOVE ON:
The Power of Routines and Habits
To begin the process of creating routines, and ultimately good habits, we need to:
• Know what tasks you and each family member need to get done every day and week.
• Assign daily tasks to certain times of the day.
• Assign weekly chores to certain days of the week.
How to use your “Daily & Weekly Task List”
Print a couple of copies of the “Daily & Weekly Task List”. You’ll want to keep it on the
counter for up to a week. You will be listing out EVERYTHING that you do each day and
figuring out the best time of day to do it. Use a pencil as you fill in your planner. Remem-
ber, you don’t need to do all of these tasks alone. Your kids can also be assigned things
to help with. So don’t be afraid to start penciling in family members’ initials next to tasks.
STEP ONE:
As mentioned above, write down everything you can possibly think of that needs to get
done each day or on specific days.
• Put a “D” in the first box to the left if the task is a daily task
• Put a “W” in the first box to the left if the task is a weekly task.
STEP TWO:
This is where you will start trying to figure out which day of the week you’ll assign each
weekly task. Use a pencil, in case you need to make adjustments.
• Put the day of the week in the second box for all weekly tasks. I suggest using the
following symbols to simplify: M, T, W, TH, F, S, and ️ (for Sunday)
How to use your “Daily Routine Planner”
Print several copies of the Daily Routine Planner. Consider making a separate list for
yourself and for your kids. It may take you a few tries to get a good “groove” for your
family.
Move the items from your daily tasks list to where you think the best time of day will
be to get the task done. There’s a spot in each time block for you to write down the
approximate time frames for each time block.
How to use your “Weekly Routine Planner”
This one is pretty simple, since you’ve already done most of the planning. Transfer your
weekly tasks from your task printable to the appropriate day of the week. You may need
to tweak things here and there to get the right rhythm for your week.

Rule #7:PLAN AHEAD:
A Little Bit of Prep Work Goes a Long Way
What checklists do you want to create for things your family typically does
during the week?
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
What packing lists could you start typing up to prepare for your next vacation
or road trip?
•
•
•
•
•
•
•
What activities can you think of to put on your fun list?

Rule #8:ASK FOR HELP:
Bring on the Cavalry
What holds you back from asking others for help? If you struggle with asking for
help, try to figure out why you hesitate to reach out.
Make a list of potential helpers. Now is a great time to create a list of possible
babysitters and friends you’d feel comfortable trading childcare with so that you can
get time alone in your house to work on projects—or time alone for rest.
•
•
•
•
What are some chores you can think of right now that your kids could learn to do
in addition to what they are already doing?
•
•
•

Rule #9:DON’T EAT OF THE BREAD OF IDLENESS:
Overcoming Laziness and Avoidance
What are you doing too much of that is possibly a misuse of your time? Too much
screen time, whether email, social media, videos, or TV, tends to be a big time-sucker
in this day and age. You might consider tracking your day to see what you’re spending
your time doing.
•
•
•
•
•
•
What are some ways you can create time to get organized?
•
•
•
•
•
•
What rewards can you use to motivate yourself or your family to tackle some
of the big projects on your to-do list?
•

Rule #10:STICK WITH IT!:
Getting Organization to Stick
When is the best time(s) of day for you to create your own family “tidy time”?
What area of your home tends to be the hardest to maintain order in? Can you
think of any strategies or rules that might help this area to be easier to keep tidy?
•
•
•
•
•
•
Can you think of any friends who might enjoy doing a “M.O.M.s Night In” with
you? Write their name below and contact them to see if they’d be interested in joining
you, then get a date on the calendar.
