Word of Life’s Children’s Ministry Program is built on a powerful goal: to lay a solid foundation of biblical principles at a young age in the lives of children. We want to teach them from the very start the important fundamentals of spiritual growth. The Olympian ministry is built on an important theme in Scripture; the Olympic athlete. Paul uses this illustration often saying that he wanted to “finish the race.” Gopher Buddies uses age appropriate materials to teach those principals to early learners ages 4-6.

Bible Studies for the Fall!Core and elective studies continue through October/November on Sunday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings. Scheduled times, dates and locations are listed below.

Pastor’s Bible StudyWednesdays6:45 PM - 8:00 PMChapel

Have you ever had a question in the middle of a sermon and wished you could just raise your hand and get an answer? Well, this is the class for you. Each week Pastor Lynn takes a topic or a book of the Bible and breaks it down into bite sized chunks that are easy to understand and apply to your life. And, if it doesn’t make sense to you, just ask a question.

Every Wednesday night our students in 6th - 12th grades meet together for Bible Study and fellowship.

Our students may play games or break into small groups with an adult leader to discuss the topic they are studying that week. Join us and bring your friends.

Mission Opportunity

One Friday a month, we have the opportunity to volunteer at City Rescue Mission. Volunteers will be serving dinner and interacting with the clients. Volunteers are asked to arrive by 3:30 PM and usually leave by 6:00 PM. Scheduled upcoming date is December 6th. If you are interested in participating, please call or text Karen Westbrook at 904.304.9153.

Angel Tree® is a Prison Fellowship® program that serves incarcerated parents by giving them a pathway to restore and strengthen relationships with their children and families. Every Christmas, Angel Tree mobilizes local churches and organizations to minister to hundreds of thousands of children by delivering a gift, the Gospel message, and a personal message of love on behalf of their mom or dad behind bars.

This will be our church family’s 11th year of participating. There are two ways to participate: you can select a child and purchase gifts, or you can help by delivering the donated gifts to the children on December 21st. If you would like to help, or have questions, please contact Lynn Thomas at [email protected] or sign-up following services.

Missions OpportunityVolunteers Still Needed for UPWARD

We are excited to announce that 350 kids have signed up for UPWARD Basketball and Cheerleading. However, our dilemma in the middle of this blessing is that we are in desperate need of coaches for both Basketball and Cheerleading. You don’t need to be athletic or have experience. You just need to be able to follow directions and love on kids. This is a commitment for a couple of nights a week beginning in December and every Saturday through the end of February. There are other opportunities for volunteers to keep score, referee, work concessions or do devotions. If you are interested in this great opportunity to reach kids contact Pastor Steve at [email protected] or call the office at 879.2172.

Loving our community.....By Filling our Food PantryThis is the time of year we focus on gathering food to provide for those in our community who come to us for help with food insufficiencies. The church’s focus is “for the community and for the Gospel”; our food pantry is a tangible way to love our community. We have a much larger pantry now in order to store supplies. Each Bible Fellowship Group is charged with a specific food item. Please place your contributions in the containers provided in the Preschool area.
