GRAND MARQUEE WINE TASTINGSA brand new attraction at this year’s Gourmet Village, specially designed for wine connoisseurs. Over a two-hour session (including 20-minutes of tutored tastings on Margaret River blends), guests will have the chance to trial top-end wines from some of WA’s best wineries – including Cullen, Voyager Estate and Vasse Felix – plus meet the winemakers themselves. These prestige drops will not be available anywhere else in the village.

CREATE YOUR OWN GIN WITH OLD YOUNG'SJoin the distillers from Old Young’s as they guide you through a tasting of three of their premium gins, before you take on the challenge to create your own! Receive a gin and tonic on arrival, learn all about how Paul Carmichael from Momofuku and Australian Champion Distiller James Young came to create the Official Gin of Gourmet Escape, then let your imagination run wild as you create your very own bespoke gin. You will leave with a 200mL bottle of your creation as well as a discount voucher for the Gourmet Escape Gin.

Our favourite Dublin-born, two-hatted chef and restaurateur Colin Fassnidge will be appearing exclusively at the Gourmet Village this year. Get your questions ready as the popular My Kitchen Rules judge will be chatting to a lucky few in a private suite at Leeuwin Estate Winery. Tickets include a glass of Margaret River wine and a pork dish inspired by Colin himself.

Hosted by Mike Bennie, topics include everything from ‘Pet Nat Party – Naturally sparkling wines 101’ to ‘Fancy wines for the Cellar – A chat/tasting about fancy reds’ and ‘Wild Beers – the new wave of experimental brewing’.
