There’s a lot we can do about slavery today
In fact, here some you can do in 18 minutes
• Get informed about modern slavery• Share info with friends on Facebook• Email to your congress person• Remove chocolate that isn’t free-trade from
your house• Ditto coffee• Donate $18 to an anti trafficking organization• Volunteer for an anti-slavery organization• Tell a story at your Seder….
How do I play? Before the Seder
• Sign up online; give your Seder a name (Seders all over the country will be competing)
• If you prefer paper to a screen, print out materials for your guests beforehand.
• Erev Passover, go to the website and press
• You have 18 minutes
GAMEPLAY• A checklist of activities will appear • Click one, and instructions, email templates, or whatever is
appropriate to that activity will appear• Your team races around to accomplish as many slavery-
fighting activities as they can as the game timer counts down from 18 minutes to zero.
• Each time you finish an activity, check it off on the website, and it will tally the score.
• You can compete for fun, or against Seders relatives are having in another part of the country, or try to win it all
• The site will track and announce individual winners, best city, most tasks done per-person, etc.
• Winning Seders get some kind of prize, maybe a basket of delicious breads to be delivered 8 days later
Questions/Tasks• Workable idea? Catchy enough?• How do we optimize game play?• What needs to be done to implement?• What needs to be done to publicize?
What’s a home run?• A new Passover ritual that
o Creates something fun people want to add to their Sederso Does something significant to fight slavery and human traffickingo Ties the story of our liberation to an action that embodies our valueso Becomes part of the eder
