China International Industry Fair – CIIF is jointly organized by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, National Development and Reform Commission, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, Chinese Academy of Science, Chinese Academy of Engineering, China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, United Nations Industrial Development Organization and Shanghai Municipal People’s Government, co-organized by China Machinery Industry Federation and managed by Donghao Lansheng (Group) Co., Ltd. Since its launch in 1999, CIIF, an UFI-approved event, has become a leading event on equipment manufacturing in China, through implementing “professionalization, marketization, internationalization and branding” as its strategies.

CIIF 2017, or the 19 session CIIF, was successfully held from 7 to 11 November 2017 at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). Themed as “Innovative, Intelligent, Green”, CIIF occupied totally 281,140 square meters space and attracted 2,602

exhibitors from 28 countries or regions. 65 conferences or forums were held concurrently.178,000 visitors from 82 countries and

regions and 31 provinces of Mainland China attended CIIF 2017 including registered 167,906 trade visitors from across the industry

spectrum.

CIIF 2017 is the best platform to present and promote the deep integration between the industry of manufacturing and Information Technology, in order to orient the main line of digitalization , networking and intelligence, CIIF showcases the key emerging industries by the strategy of Made in China 2025 , to highlight the proposal of " One Road on Belt " and the Power Strategic of Intelligent, Green and Service manufacturing, update China's manufacturing and speed up the implementation from manufacturer to manufacturing power.

CIIF 2017 accommodated 2,602 exhibitors with 13,446 booths in total, including 528 overseas exhibitors, 1,452 domestic exhibitors outside Shanghai and 622 exhibitors from Shanghai. The number was steadily increasing compared with last year. The domestic exhibitors were mainly from 30 provinces or autonomous regions and 5 cities with independent planning. The overseas exhibitors are come from 27 countries and regions. The top 5 countries are German, Japan, China Taiwan region, USA and South Korea. The domestic

exhibiting delegation were mainly from the provinces of Hei Long Jiang, He Bei, Shan Xi, Xin Jiang, An Hui, Guang Xi, He Nan, Si Chuan, Liao Ning, Shan Dong, Yun Nan and city of Shenzhen and Dalian.

CIIF 2017 attracted 528 overseas exhibitors from 27 countries with 3,618 booth in total, the space number of overseas exhibiting hit a new

high and increased by 2.32% compared with last year. The country/region pavilions were mainly from Germany, Japan, USA, Italy, South

Korea, Switzerland, France, UK, Russia, Sweden, India and China Hong Kong, China Taiwan region. The delegation were mainly from the

advanced manufacturing countries and regions like Germany, Japan, South Korea, Italy, Swiss and China Taiwan region. It was worth mentioning

that UK this year was the partner country of CIIF 2017 and introduced their high quality manufacturing enterprises who demonstrate their vitality,

diversity and cutting-edge technologies and services.

2,074 exhibitors from 31 domestic provinces and 5 cities with independent planning covered 10,828 booths in CIIF 2017. Number of booth

surpassed that of last session increased by 10.1 %, hit a record a new high. The exhibitors from 31 provinces –all provinces of Mainland China

excluded Hainan Province and Tibet Autonomous Region, as well as five cities with independent planning like Dalian, Qingdao, Ningbo, Xiamen,

Shenzhen, showcased the cutting-edge achievements of high-end manufacturing of China competing with their oversea counterparts.

65 forums and meeting held concurrently with unqualified success

65 conferences or seminars were held during CIIF 2017 in accordance with the theme as “Innovative, Intelligent & Green”, combined with in parts which is Ministerial-Municipal Cooperation Forum, Development forum, Technology Forum and Industry and Enterprise Forum.

The development forum of CIIF were strived to be the professional brand forum which to build the presentation of CIIF as the basic and the emphasis of manufacturing development . Including the Plan of China Robot Industry Summit(The 3rd CEO Roundtable) and 2017 Industrial Internet Industry Development (Shanghai) Forum.

The technology forum of CIIF were adhered to the high-level, comprehensive and the characteristics of the discipline, the core of round table meeting of academician and hold 12 academic exchange activities concurrently. The Industry and Business Forum were focused on the new products, new technology and communication, comply the industrial trend with the exhibition presentation and professional exhibitors, visitors communication for many useful onsite activities.

This year, CIIF Forums were Focused on industrialization trend of global industry 4.0 and Made in China 2025. Hot topics were selected from accelerating the transformation and upgrading of the industry manufacturing, steadily raising the level of industrial intelligence manufacturing, such as green manufacturing extensively, and also selected the development concept of the equipment industry manufacturing, technology, economy and management of the frontier issues, which focusing on cutting-edge, prospective, professional, academic characteristics. 2017 CIIF Forums achieved good response.

CIIF 2017 achieved great attention and well-reported in domestic and international media. 688 original reports were published through 277 media including newspaper, network media, TV and radios, got a 47% growth year on year. 191 journalists from 76 domestic and oversea medias registered at CIIF 2017. The registered media from China included People’s Daily, Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, China National Radio, Economic Daily, China Daily, SMG News, Shanghai People's Broadcasting Station, Dragon TV, Jie Fang Daily, Wen Hui Daily, Ta Kung Pao, Va Kio Daily, Economic Daily (China Taiwan region), Pakistan Observer, Nottingham Evening Post, PR Newswire and other media from oversea were also flourishing reports of CIIF 2017. The reports on CIIF 2017 focus on the topics such as Made in China 2025 policy, Artificial Intelligence technologies and other highlights of the show.

A wide coverage of new media is a highlight of CIIF 2017. CIIF 2017 is a hot topic on the social media platform of the departments of Shanghai Government.
