22 July 2016 Dear Dadford and Stowe Residents OCTO BRITISH GRAND PRIX (MotoGP), SILVERSTONE CIRCUIT FRIDAY 2nd–SUNDAY 4th SEPTEMBER 2016Traffic Information and Free Ticket Offer Over the years we have seen a steady increase in the volumes of people attending the MotoGP event at Silverstone and early ticket sales for 2016 indicate that this year will be no exception. Whilst we do encourage fans to camp and use the park and ride facility, the volume of cars coming to the circuit has also increased and is due to reach 14,000 on Sunday of the event. In order to cope with the growth in attendance, Silverstone has had to review its Traffic Management strategy to manage the increase in demand. The inbound phase is not such a concern, as flow is staggered over a four hour period so the A43 and Dadford road traffic management operation can cope. However, due to the fact that the majority of fans leave the venue immediately after the race, this system is not adequate for the outbound phase. As in previous years, we believe the safest and most effective solution is to put a one way operation in place to support our exiting traffic from the Dadford Road campsites to go southbound down the Dadford Road, through the village and to Stowe crossroads. The full plan is outlined in detail below:- For the Sunday only, with effect from 06.00, there will be a one way system INBOUND from the northbound A43 off-slip junction with the A413 to the West 10 roundabout at the end of the dual carriageway part of the Dadford Road. The Dadford Road One Way systems will be removed as soon as inbound traffic volume decreases. This is expected to take place by 12:30 pm but if necessary, the systems will extend after this time. Dadford Road single carriageway will be made one way for OUTBOUND on Sunday from the West 10 roundabout south through Dadford village to Stowe crossroads. This will be implemented at 13.00 to assist with the exiting of traffic from campsites adjacent to the Dadford Road and will be removed at 19.00 or earlier if traffic volumes allow. If you have any queries, please contact our customer care department on 0844 3728 260 or email [email protected] I appreciate there may be some concerns from Dadford residents about access for fire/ambulance crews in the event of an emergency, but I can confirm that the circuit have agreed with Bucks F & R to have a Fire Appliance deployed to the village to respond to any incidents between West 10 roundabout and Stowe crossroads. The Ambulance service has been advised of the traffic management and medical support would be available from the Circuit in an emergency.

Dear Dadford and Stowe Residents

OCTO BRITISH GRAND PRIX (MotoGP), SILVERSTONE CIRCUIT FRIDAY 2nd–SUNDAY 4th SEPTEMBER 2016Traffic Information and Free Ticket Offer

Over the years we have seen a steady increase in the volumes of people attending the MotoGP event at Silverstone and early ticket sales for 2016 indicate that this year will be no exception.

The full plan is outlined in detail below:-

For the Sunday only, with effect from 06.00, there will be a one way system INBOUND from the northbound A43 off-slip junction with the A413 to the West 10 roundabout at the end of the dual carriageway part of the Dadford Road.

If you have any queries, please contact our customer care department on 0844 3728 260 or email [email protected]

I appreciate there may be some concerns from Dadford residents about access for fire/ambulance crews in the event of an emergency, but I can confirm that the circuit have agreed with Bucks F & R to have a Fire Appliance deployed to the village to respond to any incidents between West 10 roundabout and Stowe crossroads.  The Ambulance service has been advised of the traffic management and medical support would be available from the Circuit in an emergency.

We do appreciate that this system is an inconvenience and as such would like to offer Dadford and Stowe residents tickets to attend Friday, Saturday or Sunday of the MotoGP event. If you would like to take us up on this offer then please email [email protected] and state the number of tickets required and for which day (maximum of 2 adults and 2 children per household) by 12 noon on Friday 26 August along with your name and postal address.Thanking you in advance for your co-operation.

Yours sincerely

Patrick Allen Managing Director
