Ten years after its inception, do the Townie Choice Awards (TCAs)even need an introduction? You know the significance of the TCAs. Youknow what it means when, on a product, you see the gold-dunked statuehoisting the “Townie Choice” logo: It means you can trust it.

Voters of the Townie Choice Awards were auto-matically entered into a drawing to win $1,000. Thisyear’s winner is Dr. Jeremy Thiel of Ohio.

You might know Dr. Thiel by “shotblockin,” hisname on the Dentaltown message boards. Thielcompleted his undergraduate degree in dentalhygiene and attended dental school both at OhioState University. He’s been practicing in Ohio for the last six years. Currently he practices atSignature Dental, located in Worthington. “Myfavorite part of dentistry is the technology, but at

the end of the day, it is the people.” He mentions specifically histeam who works diligently to make the practice a success. Out of theoffice, he says it’s all about his family: wife, Molly, and daughter, Adelynn.

Thiel believes in the TCAs’ purpose. “They’re important because theygive dentists like me a way to learn about a wide range of products, andto see those that are being used successfully by our peers.”
