THE 6TH ANNUAL BOLA TINUBU COLLOQUIUM

Nasir Bala Daudawab was born on 21 July, 1971. He obtained a Bachelor of Agricultural Economics from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria in 1995.

He got a Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MIAD) from the same institution in 2008.

He started Risan Agro Allied Farms in 2005 with five hectares of land which has grown to hundred hectares which he uses for mixed crop farming and poultry.

He is married with children.

Mr Ron Magbatogu was born on November 2nd, 1946, in Lagos State. He graduated in 1974 with a degree in Mass communication from the University in Lagos.

He started his career at the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria in 1966, where he was till 1978, when he joined an advertising firm, Lintas limited. He retired from Meryt Advertising Limited at the age of 60.

After retirement, he joined Pastor Taiwo Odukoya's team, to set up ‘Discovery for Men’, a Christian men ministry committed to helping men locate themselves as the major building blocks of a greater Nigeria and a better world.

He is married with children.

Mrs Chioma is the founder of The Bethesda Home for the Blind. She is 43 years old. Mrs Chioma admitted her first students in 2005. She was inspired to start the home because of the perceived neglect by society of members of her family who are visually impaired.

Today, The Bethesda Home caters for 56 blind students from primary school up until they get admitted into the university. Mrs Chioma is a wife and mother.

Emmanuel is a 23 year old man who is passionate about impacting the lives of others and working in God’s vineyard. In 2008, he lost his eye sight after years of struggling with glaucoma. As a result of this, he moved to the Bethesda Home for the Blind. Emmanuel‘s dream is to get a first degree in sociology and a master’s in theology.

Mallam Aji was born on 12th July 1972. He is a lecturer at the University of Maidugri, Department of Geology. Mallam Aji lost his uncle and wife in two different terror attacks in Maidugri. His wife, Falmata Loskurima who was a primary school teacher and the mother of their six children. 

Mrs Elizabeth is a 41 year old widow from Ebonyi State. In 2009, she lost her husband to a tragic fire incident in their home. She currently lives in Aba, Abia State where she sells fruits.

She is a mother of six children.

Chief Eric Dooh was born on 28th August 1968. He is a native of Goi Community, Gokana Local Government, Rivers State. Chief Eric has been a fisherman and farmer for over 30 years.

However, he lost his fishing business which was his main source of livelihood in 2004 due to the crude oil pollution. He is a husband and father of 3 children.

Adamu Buba is a 34 year old man who put his dreams and future on hold in his attempt to bring back security and sanity to his community. He is one of the founding members of the Joint Task Force which was established immediately after a state of emergency was declared in Borno.

Alhaji Gambo Haladu is a 69 year old farmer from Minjibir Local Government Area in Kano State.

He owns three different sets of land which he inherited from his family.

He has three wives and 24 children

 

Mallam Olu is a 37 year old man from Yobe State. He is a graduate of The Federal University of Technology, Minna State. He has been teaching for 14 years. Currently, he is a teacher from Yobe State. Mr Olu is a survivor of two terror attacks at his school that claimed the lives of several teachers and students. Mallam Olu is a husband and father of two children.

Soprinye Victor is 25years old. She is from Ogbia Local Government Area in Bayelsa state. In 2010, She graduated with a second class from the Niger Delta University, Amassoma, Bayelsa state, where she studied chemical engineering. She is currently unemployed after actively searching for a job since she completed the National Youth Service Corps programme in 2011.

The Most Reverend (Dr.) Ephraim Adebola Ademowo was born on the 29th of July, 1948 to a veteran headmaster and educationist, Chief Samuel Gbolade Ademowo and Mrs. Caroline Abosede Ademowo.

The Most Rev. (Dr.) E. A. Ademowo graduated with a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Theology at the University of Ibadan 1977, and went on to earn a Master’s Degree and Ph.D. Degree at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU), Ile-Ife.

He was made the Archdeacon in 1983 and consecrated as the Bishop of Ilesha in 1989. After 11 years at Ilesha as Bishop, he was translated to the See of the Diocese of Lagos in the year 2000 where he served a two-term tenure of five years each.

Over the years, the Most Reverend (Dr.) Ephraim Adebola Ademowo has received various laurels and awards. Amongst these is his investiture in 2006 as Honorary Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Letters (FNAL) and the conferment in 2008 of the prestigious national honour of "Officer of the Order of the Niger (O.O.N)" by the then President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Umaru Musa Yar'Adua.
