KEOP Objectives and Contents Produce intensive observation data to clarify the 3-dimension

al structure of heavy rainfall system in summer associated with typhoon or Changma (Rainy Season in Korea) Enhance our understanding of heavy rainfall system in summ

er and improve its model prediction from the analysis and application studies of intensive observation data

Intensive field-based observation of severe weather in summer associated with typhoon and Changma

Long-term monitoring of surface fluxes for improvement of physical processes between land surface and atmosphere Analysis and application of intensive observation data for elucidating the formation and development mechanism of heavy rainfall system Establishment of observation network for real-time monitoring system of severe weather in the southwestern part of the Korean peninsula Performance of fundamental research for designing optical observation network Operation of KEOP data center
