Bi –Annual Report 2014-15

Dear Parent,
It gives me immense pleasure to present the Bi-Annual Report of the school for the period of 1st April-2014 to 30th September-2014
This academic session started on 2nd April-2014. After summer vacation, school re-opened on 16th June-2014.
As per Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE), we conducted two formative assessments (FA) and one summative assessment (SA) during First
Term. We started the second term on 7th Oct-2014.
CBSE Examination Results:
Class – XII – pass percentage -100%. Out of eight children who appeared, 6 secured distinction and 2 first class. Kum. P.Uma Devi was the school
topper by securing 92.2% marks. All the eight children got admission in various courses.
Class X Results – 100% All the 38 children have been declared eligible for higher studies. Out of these 38, eight children secured CGPA-10 by securing A1 grade in all the subjects. Being the topper among class X CBSE
examinees in Kurnool district, Kum J. Sarni has been invited to visit and attend a 2 day programme along with her parents at Satish Dhawan Space Centre (ISRO) Sriharikota.

Save Water Campaign
The school staff and students along with the residents of the UTCL went on a “Save
Water Campaign” on 22nd March 2014 all around the colony by elevating placards,
banners and proclaimed slogans on the issue. Our Unit Head, Mr.G.M. Krishna flagged off the procession where many
dignitaries of the UTCL witnessed the event. It had a far reaching impact.

Investiture Ceremony - School Head Boy and Head Girl
Master Pritesh Kumar Tripathi of class X has been nominated as Head Boy and Kum S.Rizwana of class XII as Head Girl for the academic year 2014-
‟15. Investiture ceremony held on 23rd June -2014. All the captains and vice captains of our four houses also took oath along with Head Boy and Head Girl.
Opening of New Library In order to facilitate better reading facilities and encourage reading practice among students, a sprawling new Library hall cum reading room was inaugurated by our Unit Head Sri G.M Krishna on 21-06-2014. The library
has a store of more than 5000 books in different languages to please the tastes of various book lovers.

Retirement Mr.B.Satyananda Rao, TGT (Social
Science) retired from the services on 30th August 2014 as he attained 60 years of age. He served in this institution for 18
years. He was given a befitting farewell embedded with sentiments and fond memories by staff and students.
Helping Hand On 14th April 2014, a group including staff and students visited Keerthana Orphange at Kurnool and spent a day with the inmates. They donated
money and clothes to the orphanage. This was organized by our „Benevolent fund‟ committee to reach out to society, a mission of our school.
Independence Day Celebrations
Independence Day was celebrated on 15-08-2014. Sri. G.M.Krishna, Unit Head was
the Chief Guest, who received guard of honour from SPF, Security and NCC (Girls) cadets. He hoisted the National Flag
and delivered an inspiring speech about present scenario of the country and role of students..
School Magazine “Arunodaya 2013-14”
was released by Shri H.N.Singh, Sr.Vice President (Tech) and the copies were received by Functional Heads. Parents and students witnessed the colourful cultural programme performed by
children.
Opening of Language Lab - To enhance the communicative skills and Spoken English of our children a Lanuage Lab was setup which was inaguarated by Shri H.N.Singh , Sr. Vice President (Tech) on 15-8-2014.

Teachers’ Day Celebrations
Teachers' Day was celebrated with great
zeal and enthusiasm on 5th Sep-14. On this day, students dressed up like their teachers and taught their juniors the same way as their teachers do. Students organized funny games and cultural programme to entertain the
teachers and ascertain the importance of the teachers in their lives.

All the teachers took oath, to be committed and sincere to their profession
for imparting quality education to students.
Management arranged a get together to honour the teachers along with their families on the same day.
We made elaborate arrangements to watch the live telecast of the programme “Prime Minister’s
interaction with school children” on 5th September in connection with
Teacher‟s Day celebration.
Enrichment Programme
For Staff 1. One day workshop organized by “Insignia Solution” on Championing
Excellence on 14-06-2014, attended by all members 2. One day workshop by CBSE empanelled agency “Edify” on “Attitudes
& Values” on 09-08-2014 which was attended by all members. 3. Mrs. M.M.J Jasmin, attended 2-day workshop at Hyderabad on
“Instructional Leadership”
4. Mrs. G.Hemalatha Reddy and Mrs. S.Padma Priya attended a Workshop for Pre Primary teachers organized by Aditya Birla Group at Mathura on 27-9-2014 and 28-9-2014.
For Students
1. A film named “The Earth” was screened for the children from classes VI to XII on 16th, 17th and 18th April-2014 in our colony theatre (MPH) to make learners aware about the past, present and future of
the world and its condition.
2. Hand writing training programme conducted from 26-04-2014 to 04- 05-2014
3. Career Guidance Class conducted by faculties from BITS Pilani on
02-07-2014
4. Career Guidance Class regarding NDA conducted on 28-7-2014 by Col. A.Narasimham.
5. Mastering Memory – Training Programme conducted on 02/08/2014 by Mr. Sudhakar Raju, a holder of 3 Guinness World records.
6. One day Seminar on Environment & Pollution - Seed Knowledge by
Dr.P.K.Ramam, an eminent Geologist .
Co - Curricular Activities
We conduct various Co-curricular activities on Saturdays. Many children are participating in these activities. We conducted the following Co-curricular activities during 1st Term.

Parents Teachers Meeting
We conducted Parents Teachers Meeting for classes VI to XII on 24-07-2014 and for classes LKG to V on 01/08/2014, School Chairman & Manager were also present. More than 80% parents attended the meeting. Parents
can meet the subject teachers on every Wednesday (3:30 – 4:30pm). Next Parent s teachers meeting will be held in Nov-2014.
School Managing Committee (SMC):
School Managing Committee (SMC) met on 21/7/2014, Mr. G.M.Krishna chairman SMC, presided over the meeting.
ISO Audit: Det Norske Veritas (DNV) conducted the periodical audit for of ISO 9001:2008 on 23rd August-2014 and they expressed full satisfaction.
