Mrs. Raji Madhu Dr. C.R.K.Mohan The Aditya Birla Public School Grasim Vihar is truly privileged to be a part of the British Council International

School Award programme. This has been possible due to the initiatives of our Principal Mrs. Sangita

Christopher. We are grateful to our mentor Dr. S.Ganguli CEO ABG schools and the Unit Head Shri Kiran Patil

for constant support and encouragement.

This project shall prove instrumental in opening the horizons beyond imagination, as our students venture

beyond the confines of their classrooms to the world outside. The seven well-planned collaborative projects

with the partner schools, shall ensure international benchmarking and also groom our students into global

citizens.

Collaborative work is already in progress with Korea, Russia and Malaysia. The ISA squad of teachers and

students is in high spirits and ABPS GV is all geared up to carve a niche for itself in the Global panorama.

Project Leaders

The Project ‘Unusual Games and Sports’ has provided a great opportunity for the students to explore some rare

and unexplored games and sports of India and Mexico. For eg. Students

compared the bull fight of Mexico with Jellikattu of India (Tamil Nadu).

Through this project students explored the richness of the unusual games

and sports of India and Mexico. The students got an opportunity to find out

similarities and differences of unusual sports of India and Mexico. They

enjoyed exchanging information about various indigenous sports of India.

They not only collected information about various indigenous sports of India

but also tried playing a few of these. They were very enthusiastic about

knowing the various rules and regulations of these unusual games and

sports. As the project leader I cherish every moment with my team of

students.

Being a part of ISA council and one of the project leaders there is a lot to

learn and experience. My topic is ‘Seasons and its Impact on Flora and

Fauna’ . While doing the project I got a chance to come closer to nature and

its beauty. Working in a team was a learning experience with lots of creative

minds. The project teaches us how to become eco-friendly citizens. It also

develops the skills of analysis, critical thinking, research and comparison and

creates awareness of consequences of seasonal changes due to human

interventions.

Project: Go Green

The project with RUSSIA is ‘GO GREEN’. Through this project the students of

both the countries will develop an awareness towards the protection of

earth. Activities such as Paper Bag-Making, Say No To Plastics, Best Out Of

Waste, Cleanliness Drive etc. will be conducted throughout the session.

Special days such as World Earth Day, National Energy Conservation Day,

World Ozone Day etc. will be celebrated through special assemblies. All these

will be shared with the partner country through Scrap Book and PowerPoint

presentations. This is a very innovative idea to create awareness and

exchange ideas with the children of other countries and spread the message

– ‘TOGETHER WE CAN’.

Project: Heritage

“Heritage is an essential part of the present we live in, and of

the future we will build.”

Heritage is a full range of our inherited traditions, monuments, objects, and

culture. Heritage is the object of active public reflection, debate and discussion. It

is preserving, excavating, displaying or restoring a collection of old things. We use

objects of heritage like artefacts, buildings, sites, landscape, etc….. alongside

practices of heritage i.e. language, music, community commemoration,

conservation, and preservation of objects or memories from the past, to shape our

ideas about our past, present and future.

The Heritage Club helps to inculcate a feeling of pride and love for the rich cultural legacy possessed by us. Our

school believes in motivating the students to participate in heritage conservation. We wish to explore the realms

of the mother earth.

Project: Attire

It is indeed a privilege to be a part of the project ‘Attire’, collaborating with partner

country Indonesia. The core idea is to appreciate the value of cultural diversity of

various countries and promote the spirit of mutual understanding through

collaborative work. The project shall definitely enhance creativity and skills of

critical and analytical thinking.

Project: Culture Box

As one of the project leaders for the ISA, with my project topic being ‘Culture Box’,

I have really enjoyed collecting little things for my culture box and have felt highly

elated making the Power Point Presentation to provide a brief description about

the things in my box. Hope this PPT would be exciting and informative for everyone

watching it. Through this activity we come to know about what a culture box

means, as it contains miniature articles related to our culture.
