    good ole Johnny Law.

I, Trevor DeEll, I will always remember going to Hoggatts room every day and every period that I had for the past 3 years. I would go and

hang out with him for at least two periods a day and wed talk about everything. I had geometry class with him, Sam Grace, and Nick Vicino and

I would get so competitive with everything. Whether it was who had the highest grade of if we were playing a game of Catch Phrase. High

and he didnt know the combination.

Milford Students Explore Futures At College FairAlyssaDavanzoNews Editor

    Especiallyduringthistime

of the year, high school juniors

    and seniors alike begin to

witness the s trains of the

    narrowing down and choosing

    process of college choices.

    Withhopesofmaking this

    procedurelesscomplicated, the

    annual Jonathan Law College

    Fair assisted upperclassmen on

    September 30 in the schools

    newgymnasium.

    The event was organized

    by Law guidance counselor,

    Mrs. Lindsay, and operated

    from7to9p.m.

    Free and open to the

    public, college fairs allow

students to interact withadmiss ions representatives

    from a wide range of

    institutions.

    Through discuss ions

    concerning course offerings,

    admission and financial aid

    requirements, and even college

    life in general, high school

    s tudents receive a better

    unders tanding of the

    opportunities available in their

    near futures.

    Several s tudents

    participate in college fairs in

    order to narrow down their

    school possibilities.

    Before going to the

College Fair, I had made a list

    with over 10 school choices

where I planned to apply, said

    senior Chandler Dugas. I

    realized that I needed to

eliminate some of the leas t

realis tic options , and by

visiting each table at the event,

I was able to do so.Many upperclassmen

    attended the College Fair in

order to visit the table of their

    number one college selection.

    I thought that the fair

was very helpful in that my top

    collegechoice,Quinnipiac, had

    a table there, said senior

    Kourtney Kruysman. Even

    though I already toured the

    school, there were s till

questions that I forgot to ask

during my visit so it definitely

    helped in that respect.

    Senior Jesse Viscardi

    explored new college

    preferences while walking

    around the tables.

    North Eas tern has

    always been my number one

    choice, said Viscardi. Yet

    other univers ities were

successful at trying to sell me

    whattheirschoolshave tooffer,

such as St. Miles and UMASS

    Amherst.Juniors who participated

in the College Fair had the

chance to learn their taste in

    schools.

I would like to go to

school in Rhode Island, and the

schoolthatI ammostinterestedin now is URI, said junior

    Emily Pitney. Johnson and

Whales also seems to be a very

    good school.

    The adminis trators

    available at each college table

    elaborated on particular clubs

to participants to get a better

    idea of campus living.

    I talked to the Sacred

    Heartrepresentativeabout their

    Choir program, because I look

    forward to singing in college,

    said seniorJaclyn Davis.She

explained how there is a great

    chanceofreceiving scholarship

    money, which is definitely a

    plus.

    While some left the

    occasion feeling confident and

able to determine where theywould like to send their

    applications, others felt even

    more overwhelmed than

    before.

    The fair was crowded,

and in more than one instance I

    wasnt able to hear the

    administrators talking, said

    seniorCharles Gonzalez. I

wish that there were more than

    just four schools with culinary

    programs, because I would like

to enter into that major as a

    college student.

    Overall, the program

    worked out successfully

    through the organization and

    prior planning of the guidance

    department.

    When asked why she was

    so involved with the stores
