SHU, via AHPCO technology, produces a layer of hydroxide ions, radicals, radical peroxides, hydro peroxides which through the action of light and air humidity, triggers a reaction of de-composition of organic and inorganic substances: only the oxygen and hydrogen molecules remain in the air.

Titanium Dioxide Titanium dioxide is natural; it is considered a safe and harmless substance to human health. It repre-sents the most common photo catalyst and has many advantages: low cost, high photo catalytic effi ciency and non-toxicity. The product has biomedical characteri-stics and can be considered as a guarantee for a defi nitive sanitisation.

How it worksPhoto catalysis is a natural phenomenon whereby a substance, called a photo catalyst (TiO2) through the action of light (natural or artifi cial) changes the speed of a chemical reaction.

Its function mimics photosynthesis.The chemical process that lies at its base is in fact an oxidation which starts through the combined action of light and air humidity. The two elements (light and air), in contact with the coating of the surfaces, favour the activation of the reaction and the subsequent decomposition of organic and inorganic substances.

The AHPCO systemWith research lasting a decade, Aerobiology and Biotechnology have developed an air purifi cation system that

uses an Advanced Photo Catalytic Hydrate Oxidation. SHU uses a next-generation technology (AHPCO) that does not rely on fi lters or the passage of air through the purifi ers, but produces a layer of oxidants that sanitise the air, sanitise surfaces and eliminates pollutants.

Lethal to microbes, harmlessto manIons (which are produced by the AHPCO system) are fatal to simple organi-sms, but do not harm people or pets. This is due to the reaction of certain enzymes within our organisms which protect us from hydro peroxide, ozone, hydroxyl, and other excellent oxides. Thanks to our nutrition, many natural antioxidants are also produced by our body that protects us from oxidation.

Our body defends itself naturally from these ions, but mould, bacteria, viruses and other biological contami-nants do not have our same defense mechanisms.
