Today we are celebrating what is a mystery to our human understanding. We are celebrating Trinity Sunday. This is the foundation of our Christian belief. We believe in the Holy and most blessed Trinity. We believe in one God, three divine persons, distinguished, unique and profoundly united. This is not three gods, or three heads… We are talking one God formed by the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, most Holy Trinity in undivided unity. We consider this a mystery because it is challenging to understand in human terms such divine concepts. Remember we are humans and therefore our understanding is limited. God as Creation… We share with God the ability to procreate in many ways: Having children not to take for granted, sharing our abilities and talents, and giving life to others, cloths to the poor and food to the hungry. As we tend to God’s world and the each other we also become co-creators of God’s kingdom here on earth. As we give life to each other we experience the gift of creating harmony, order, and a true human and healthy existence. We become creators. God as Redeemer… Jesus, through his passion, death and resurrection reconciled the world to himself. As Christians we are called to be his disciples and in such help in the enterprise of saving the world. We are called to make disciples of all the nations. Our duty is to bring the good news to all (The Kingdom of God is for everyone) and to baptize in the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We have been given this commandment in today’s Gospel. We become agents and secondary enablers of God’s love in the history of humanity’s salvation. God as the Sanctifier… To live in the life of the Spirit means to be light for all and to bring others peace. To live in the Spirit allows us to have wisdom in moments of indecision, have peace in moments of chaos, and have charity with our neighbor. To live in the Spirit moves us to be there for others. Even for those who hate us. We bring light and forgiveness to others. We contribute by healing the world. It’s not about saying I have the Holy Spirit but about acting as such. “By the fruits you shall know them…” We have experienced the Holy Trinity in our lives every time we are agents and entities of creation, salvation, and peace. As we read the Bible, consult the sacraments, develop a prayer life and holiness, we become tabernacles of that Holy Trinity, not controlling it but always open to feeling nurtured and give life to others. Members of this Holy assembly let us pray so that the Lord may continue using us as His instrument and reflection to the world of the most Holy and the most blessed Trinity.
Hoy celebramos lo que es un misterio para nuestro entendimiento humano. Estamos celebrando el Domingo de la Santísima Trinidad. Este es el fundamento de nuestra creencia cristiana. Creemos en la Santísima y bendita Trinidad. Creemos en un Dios, tres personas divinas, distintas, únicas y profundamente unidas. Esto no son tres dioses, o tres cabezas ... Estamos hablando de un Dios formado por el Padre, el Hijo y el Espíritu Santo, la Santísima Trinidad en unidad indivisa. Consideramos que esto es un misterio porque es desafiante comprender en términos humanos conceptos divinos. Recordemos que somos humanos y por lo tanto nuestra comprensión es limitada. Dios como Creador ... Compartimos con Dios la capacidad de procrear de diversas formas: tener hijos que nunca se deben dar por sentado, el compartir nuestras habilidades y talentos y dar vida a los demás; ropa al pobre y comida al hambriento. Cuando atendemos el mundo de
Dios y el uno al otro, también nos convertimos en co-creadores del reino de Dios aquí en la tierra. Al darnos vida mutuamente, experimentamos el don de crear armonía, orden y una verdadera
existencia humana y saludable. Nos convertimos en creadores. Dios como Redentor ... Jesús, a través de su pasión, muerte y resurrección, reconcilió al mundo consigo mismo. Como cristianos, estamos llamados a ser sus discípulos y con esto ayudar en la empresa de salvar el mundo. Estamos llamados a hacer discípulos de todas las naciones. Nuestro deber es llevar la buena nueva a todos (El Reino de Dios es para todos) y bautizar en el nombre del Padre, y del Hijo, y del Espíritu Santo. Hemos recibido este mandato en el Evangelio de hoy. Nos convertimos en agentes
y facilitadores secundarios del amor de Dios en la historia de la salvación de la humanidad. Dios como Santificador ... Vivir en la vida del Espíritu significa ser luz para todos y traer la paz a los demás. Vivir en el
Espíritu nos permite tener sabiduría en momentos de indecisión, tener paz en momentos de caos y tener caridad con el prójimo. Vivir en el Espíritu nos mueve a estar ahí para los demás. Incluso para aquellos que nos odian. Traemos luz y perdón a otros. Contribuimos sanando el mundo. No se trata de decir que tengo el Espíritu Santo, sino de actuar como tal. "Por los frutos los conocerás ..." Hemos experimentado la Santísima Trinidad en nuestras vidas cada vez que somos agentes y entidades de creación, salvación y paz. Al leer la Biblia, consultar los sacramentos, desarrollar una vida de oración y santidad, nos convertimos en tabernáculos de esa Santísima Trinidad, sin controlarla, pero siempre abiertos a sentirnos nutridos y dar vida a otros. Miembros de esta Santa asamblea oremos para que el Señor pueda continuar usándonos como su instrumento y reflejo en el mundo de la Santísima Trinidad.

The primary role of catechesis is to help people grow in the faith. (Catechism of the Catholic Church, para-graph 5) Jesus Christ is the energizing center of evangelization and the heart of catechesis. (National Directo-ry for Catechesis, Introduction) “Catechesis is an education in the faith of children, young people, and adult which includes especially the teaching of Christian doctrine imparted, generally speaking, in an organic and systematic way, with a view to initiating the hearers into the fullness of Christian life.” (Pope John Paul II-Catechesi Tradendae, no. 18)

Parish Calendar Mee ng Saturday, June 16-10am
We are asking that all parish group leaders submit their July 2018-June 2019 calendars to the parish office by May 18. We would like to have a complete calendar for our meeting. You may submit your calendar by dropping off a copy at the parish office or by email at [email protected]. We ask that there be at least 2 members of your parish group be present at the meeting. You should bring your updated officers contact information and your end of year financial reports. If you need more information please call the parish office and speak to Rosa Tryba.

Memorial Day Prayer
Dear Lord, on this day, we remember those who have served us by protecting our freedoms. When we celebrate our long weekend with our friends and family, help us remember, that our freedom to speak of you, and our freedom to worship you, and our freedom to do that which we ought to do, have all been bought at the price and sacrifice of many lives. Your Son died for our eternal life in heaven. So too, your children died protecting us here on earth. Help us be mindful this weekend and always of the sacrifices made by those in uniform for all our freedoms. Amen.

Cuando celebramos nuestro fin de semana largo con nuestros amigos y familia, ayúdenos a recordar, que nuestra libertad de hablar de ti, que nuestra libertad para alabarte, y nuestra libertad para hacer lo que debemos hacer, todos han sido comprados con el precio y el sacrificio de muchas vidas. Su hijo murió por nuestra vida eterna en el cielo. Por lo tanto también, tus hijos murieron protegiéndonos aquí en la tierra. Ayúdanos a ser conscientes de este fin de semana y siempre de los sacrificios hechos por los uniformados para todas nuestras libertades. Amén.
On Thursday May 31,2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. St. Aloysius is holding a workshop titled Fair Housing & Rental Housing Consumer Education Project. It will take place in the
Gym at the Monsignor Thiele center. The workshop will help those in our parish who are having problems with keeping their homes and those who are renting. This is sponsored by LUCHA—Advancing Housing as a Human Right. Tendrá lugar en el gimnasio del Centro Monseñor Thiele. El taller ayudará a aquellos en nuestra parroquia que están teniendo problemas para mantener sus hogares y los que están alquilando. The Prayer Shawl Ministry meets every Wednesday in the Thiele Center from 10am to noon. This group knits and crochets prayer shawls while praying individually and as a group for the recipient of each shawl. These shawls represent a visible symbol of our prayers
and presence. Shawls have been given to those facing challenging times, illness or to celebrate a special moment to bring the comfort and warmth of God’s love and healing. For more information on how to request a prayer shawl please contact the parish office, 773-278-4808. El Ministerio Mantas de Oración se reúne todos los miércoles en el Centro Pastoral de 10am a medio día. Este grupo hace mantas de oración hechos de tejido o de ganchillo mientras rezan individualmente y como grupo para que el receptor de cada manta. Estas mantas representan un símbolo visible de nuestras oraciones y presencia. Las mantas se han dado a aquellos que enfrentan tiempos difíciles, enfermedad o para celebrar un momento especial para llevar el apoyo y la calidez del amor de Dios y la sanación.
