Neoreactionism or NRx: At its core it is believing in autocratic rule over democracy

Redpilling: Taken from the matrix. Being redpilled means that you apparently see the world for how it really is

Shill: A person involved in covert advertising

The Rise: Gamergate-August 2014: Zoe Quinn (game developer) begins to receive harassments online about her sex life and her video game Depression Quest which was based on some of her own personal challenges

-Harassments stemmed from one of Quinn’s Exs who wrote online that she had slept with 5 other men some of whom work in game journalism in order to promote her game since it received no popular support

-Large amounts of people online harass her by putting her phone number and address on the web and making a meme out of the fact she slept with Five Guys (like the popular restaurant chain)

-Intel stopped putting ads in certain game developing magazines and websites as backlash was so strong

-#Gamergate supporters argued that they were sick of being called “angry young men”

-Zoe Quinn is now an activist
