What We Won’t Do
Let’s Face it... when most people think of a wedding Dj... they think of some washed up, overweight bald guy in a funky neon patterned, glow in the dark vest with matching bow tie and cumber bun... A scary image I know.Since we are NOT of this breed of DJ’s, let me tell you what we WON’T do. 1) First of all, we WILL NOT wear a funky neon patterned, glow in the dark vest with matching bow tie and cumber bun and we will not look like a waiter, busboy, or valet guy. 2) We WILL NOT sound like a radio announcer from 1960 on the microphone. EXAMPLE “This is DJ Vinny Bag Of Donuts playing the cool crisp classic hits of today” 3) We WILL NOT bring inflatable instruments such as guitars, trumpets, saxaphones, or microphones to pass out to your guests and expect Aunt Conny to bust out a solo on the dancefloor.
4) We WILL NOT start your party by trying to drag your guests to the dancefloor for a rare remix of the Macarena. 5) We WILL NOT throw on a Ken-ny G cd during dinner and disappear for 45 mins and pretend that no one is paying attention to the music. 6) We WILL NOT pair you up with a DJ and then send someone else on your wedding day. We don’t pull switch-a-roos on people. 7) We WILL NOT during any por tion of your wedding, play some pre-made, auto pilot, cookie cutter playlist, and pretend to be hard at work. One generic playlist for weddings does not work... every venue is different... age ranges will vary... the energy from wedding to wedding will be different and musical tastes will not be the same. 8) We WILL NOT sing to the
songs we play... at least not into the microphone... it’s your wedding not an audition for American Idol! 9) We WILL NOT end your night with all your guests surrounding you for a nice big group hug.
Schedule your consultation with us today for our full presentation on what we will do.
We look forward to meeting with you.
Respectfully,RONNIE MAZAL

Congratulations on your
First of all, congratulations! I’m sure “how” and “when” he popped the question will for-ever be etched in your mind. Not only because it’s one of those special days we all dream about, but because everyone is probably asking you “so, tell me all the details!”. This is a special time for both of you, so take some time to genuinely cherish it and enjoy this new phase of your lives.
Although it may seem like you now have a “million” things to do, there is no reason to feel you have to do everything at once. Take some time to sit back, relax and truly enjoy each other as an engaged couple. After you’ve taken some time to adjust to your new status, take a deep breath and discuss how you both envision your special day to be. You can let your imaginations run wild and start plan-ning one of the most important days of your lives. Below are some helpful suggestions that will keep you on track with your planning:
Be organized. Take your time writing down all the arrangements you will need to make and by what time period each task needs to be completed. Utilize all the tools and Time Tables available to you in The American Wedding Guide in the back section of the book. These valuable planning Time Tables will allow you to truly enjoy every moment of your Wedding Day by keeping you organized, alleviating stress and ensuring that every detail has been carefully thought out.
Do your homework. It will definitely create clarity for the two of you and make your planning process easier if you do research on several reception venues, photographers, florists, etc. There are many resources available for you such as Pinterest, magazines, blogs, etc. By viewing some of the different ideas shared by past brides, they will provide you and your fiancé’ with an array of choices and themes to consider.
Think about what season you want to be married in. If you live on the east coast, is it the winter months you see your ‘I dos’ taking place or the beauty of summer? This decision will definitely set the tone for style options available to you as well as budget concerns. For example, during the winter months, tents would be extremely expensive with heating etc., whereas banquet facilities may be more within your budget if booked “off-season”. Keep in mind of the end of the year holidays, however, when planning a winter wedding.
Choose a date. Your wedding anniversary date is important because it will remind you of that very special day focused on love and excitement. Check with your families when selecting your date. If you have a lot of out-of-town guests attending, you may want to consider a long weekend so they have some extra days off from work and plan to “sight-see”, if desired. Selecting a date will also help create your timeline. If you select a date that is eight months away, you will know exactly how much time you have to plan. Once you choose the date, everything becomes real! The “Time Tables” worksheet located in the back of The American Wedding Guide is a useful tool which breaks down what needs to be done the appropriate amount of months or weeks ahead of time.
Consider your venue. The venue you choose will set the overall mood and atmosphere for your big day. Make sure it suits you and your fiancé’s personalities and tastes. If you have your heart set on a location that you have been dreaming about for years, you will want to make certain it is available during the time of year you were planning. Saturdays are usually the most desirable evenings so they are the first to be requested. When you are able to confirm the date you want, also decide on what time of the day you would like to be married.
So, you’re engaged now - now what?

Meditation will reveal how to keep your heart open and your mind clear during the swirl of wedding planning… as well as your life after the wedding.
Yoga provides stress reduction and mental relaxation through the use of the breath. By becoming aware of the breath during the practice of movement, the mind begins to still. By the end of a Yoga practice, the mind has let go of time and task lists. A bride can learn the art of breathing to help her achieve composure throughout the whole wedding process.
Your mind and body are profoundly intertwined. Certain types of exercises, like yoga or mindful fitness, tap more deeply into this relationship. When move-ment becomes more meditative, it brings deeper benefits that go beyond merely toning or working your body. You find your source or inner calm, heighten your body awareness, and touch your deepest essence or spirit - all of which are valuable to you as your wedding approaches.

Now that you are engaged, the first thing to do is to relish it, cherish it, smile at your ring and enjoy every moment!
The next step is to establish a wedding budget together. This might seem a little scary at first and you may feel a bit overwhelmed, but don’t worry. With the proper research and planning guides, you will find a wedding vendor perfect for your budget.
These questions may help to determine an estimate of your budget:
• How many guests do you want to invite?
• Where do you see yourself getting married?
• What day of the week, and what time, would you
like to have your wedding?
• Do you want it to be formal or informal?
• What type of food will you be serving?
The following percentages will give you an idea of where costs will lean towards:
50% Reception10% Bride’s attire14% Photographor/Videographor 8% Music 8% Flowers10% Miscellaneous (includes invitations, rings, transportation, and favors)
The list to the right is a traditional breakdown of who should be responsible for what costs. There are times when tradition bows to practicality. The question of who pays for what really boils down to who is most willing and able to do so.

Selecting a bridal registry early in the wedding planning cycle can easily be one of your most enjoyable and exciting planning functions. Bridal registries are a free service available at many of your city’s finer department and specialty stores. It affords you the opportunity of pre-planning your new home furnishings and guarantees that you’ll be receiving truly welcome gifts from your friends and relatives. You should select your bridal registry as soon as possible after you become engaged. It will function as a helpful guide for selecting gifts for your engagement parties, showers, and of course, wedding. The proper etiquette for informing your guests about your selected bridal registry is to re-quest your bridesmaids, mothers and relatives to spread the word. It is also proper etiquette to in-clude bridal registry information on your wedding invitations.
A bridal registry consultant is more than a sales person. She can help you with coordinating all of the elements that go into furnishing and accessorizing
your first home. Selecting the items to furnish your new home should be a joint effort between you and your fiancé. Your guests may then be confident that their gift will be welcome and wanted. Most importantly, you are allowing your guests to help you and your groom build the sets of china, ster-ling and crystal that will be with you throughout your lifetime. Today’s registries offer you choices from practically every department of the store; china, crystal, housewares, bath accessories, small appliances, furniture, bar accessories, luggage and perhaps even tools. Let your needs and wants guide your choices.
Many stores now have computerized registries which make it even easier to prevent duplication and to inform your guests, especially those shop-ping in branch stores, of your preferences.
You and your groom can use the helpful checklist of household accessories on the next page to help choose items for your bridal registry.
