The Anglo Burmese and Sikh War
Konbaung Dynasty1752-1885
The Konbaung Dynasty was the last dynasty that ruled Burma .The dynasty created the second largest empire in Burmese history, and Continued the administrative reforms begun by the Toungoo dynasty, It layed the foundations of modern state of Burma.

First Anglo Burmese War 5 March 1824 – 24 February 1826 It was the first of three wars fought
between the British and Konbaung Dynasty in the 19th century.
Aim: Control of northeastern India Ended in a decisive British victory,
giving the British total control of Assam, Manipur, Cachar and Jaintia as well as Arakan and Tenasserim.
The Burmese were also forced to pay an indemnity of one million pounds sterling, and sign a commercial treaty

It was forged, on the foundations of the Khalsa, under the leadership of Maharaja Ranjit Singh
At its peak, in the 19th century, the empire extended from the Khyber Pass in the west, to Kashmir in the north, to Sindh in the south, and Tibet in the east.

Anglo-Sikh War, Gulab Singh, who served as Prime Minister of the Sikhs “suddenly confused the Governor-General by asking what he was to get for all he had done to bring about a speedy peace, and to render the army an easy prey”.
As a result, the British transferred all the lands in Kashmir that were ceded to them by the Sikhs by the Treaty of Lahore to Gulab Singh

In 1845 she became Regent of Punjab for Duleep Singh
