The Artist’s Garden Two Orchard Garden Workshops with Jenni Mitchell Tues. Oct 1 & Sun 3 Nov 10.00am – 3.00pm The Orchard Garden was first established in 1948 by Arthur & Grace Mitchell to produce food and produce for their own use and their pastry shop business. Today it is maintained by Jenni & Mervyn for food, beauty and a pleasant way of life. The workshop will commence with a demonstration by Jenni Mitchell followed by one to one tuition around the garden. The large garden has plenty of corners to set up an easel or drawing board in comfort. The focus will be on capturing the essence of the garden quickly and simply onto paper or canvas using your chosen materials. You will be shown how to look at a subject using an artists’ eye. This workshop is suitable for all students including beginners & experienced artist who would like to work with nature in a colourful garden setting.
